Haven’t carried the 34OT Grandad gave me in quite awhile so I thought I’d rectify that today. The old man in on the left sometime in the late 60’s I think.

I just got in from the lake. I had this Pioneer X with me. The fishing was decent; I caught about a dozen maybe fifteen all just like this one. I was a good morning to be on the water.

Learn something new everyday. I did not know the Slimeline was offered in a traditional 2 blade version. The ones I have seen have all been single blade style.

Go on any internet forum and ask which one should I get? Handgun, puppy, car, knife, woman, whatever. The answer will always be ~ GET BOTH.

Usually not a bad idea. Except the woman. Trust me, one is trouble enough.

I've been carrying this pairing for a couple days, rosewood Heritage Jack & stag Kissing Cranes whittler. Picture from yesterday at the archery range at a nearby state park. Hunting season starts Oct.1st here and I'm hoping for some cooler weather when I go stomping through the forest.
