Do you edc long knives or do you have knives for specific walks out?
Do you still live in the Georgetown area? I have enjoyed some fine flyfishing in the beautiful San Gabriel River down there. No, I do not carry a long knife. Most of my daily carry is a small SAK. A SAK classic is on my keys, and my old Wenger Si is in the belt pouch behind my right hip. Thats it. The knife thing has faded for me in recent years since this 2008 post was made. If I go on woods walks or fishing, my old Buck 102 woodsman is with me in a day pack. I spend a large amount of my retired life now fishing, and the Buck woodsman is great all around what they used to call a trout and bird knife. Cleans pan fish and cuts bait like a champ.
Engaging blade combo Jeff.Gorgeous stockman, Bob, is it a Catt? I still have my Case-Bose WT on me, along with Big Red.

I can relate. An SAK is almost always on me.Don’t think this 53 will be leaving my pocket for a long time

I fail to give credit to this Alox Pioneer as much as I should. This knife is always in my back pocket, every single day. Easily my most carried and used knife in spite of all of the other knives that get more of the “headlines”. Genuinely a fantastic knife. Been through the washer a couple of times and it’s still perfect. Just a bit more silver than before on either end

Well, look who posted this morning! Thanks for this thread that has turned into a place in which I've made some fine friends. No, I do not carry a long knife. Most of my daily carry is a small SAK. It’s just such a useful tool. I love all of my other knives, but I can’t deny the most actually useful thing in my pocket is always my SAK.I can relate. An SAK is almost always on me.
