What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Losing a brother is heartbreaking!! Sorry for your loss, Paul! His handprint is a touching memento!!
That it is Charlie and thank you for your kind thoughts. Duncan knows the story well as he's been a great friend. My brothers loss was tragic, especially what he lived through the last 15 yrs of his life. Unfortunately, Duncans knows the loss of a brother as well and I'm sure many here have felt that pain.

One of my longest owned Schrade 33OT's. I had come across this class project of my brothers dating back to grade school. I did the same thing (hand print) about 7 yrs earlier in my youth, still have mine. This survived our family furniture store fire where only 7,000 st ft stood out of the entire 27,000 sq ft building that literally burnt to the ground. My dad rebuilt and almost to the day one year later we moved back in and resumed business for another 13 yrs until we closed in 1996.
This is marked with my brothers name and the year it was made (1976) on the back side. It was chipped and broken in half, I had touched it up and glued back together. I was going to give it to my brother but he passed June 15th of this year. My dad welcomed him home ❤️ 🙏 RIP Matthew John.

paulhilborn paulhilborn - It's tough losing a sibling. There'll always be a place at the table for them. When a Dad passes, someone always shifts to the head of the table but no one can ever really fill that space. Best to you Paul.
