Johnny, glad you were able to spend time with your Dad today. My Dad lives in a nursing home 2000 miles away so we were only able to FaceTime him on an iPad I left there. He is not technically savvy at all so it only took 3 phone calls and about 10 minutes to get him to answer the call👍. He was able to see his Great Grandson and namesake, Papa Bear and Baby Bear. According to my Dad the two of them are very much alike, both bald and they both drool a lot🤣🤣🤣. Enjoy your Christmas with your Dad!!

I like those old time Whittlers, Cal. In fact, a Schrade Cut Co version just like yours might be my most recent knife purchase as well. Except mine has a couple of scale cracks.

Christmas Day carry. I traded bigfish64 bigfish64 for the #77 earlier this year, but hadn’t gotten around to carrying it until now. Hope y’all had a Merry Christmas!

A very nice key wind watch you have there. 😻
Do you know the year the watch was made?
I'm guessing 1860's to 1880's.

My key wind (1885 Elgin H.H. Taylor) needs work.
I think it had a wrong replacement hair spring (too short) installed sometime in its history, (it runs 5 minutes fast per day.) when new it was rated at +/-5 minutes a week.) and the main spring may have taken a set, since it only runs around 22 hours per wind instead of 36+ hours.
