What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Sleet & freezing rain predicted to start around noon & last until midnight, with maybe a half inch ice accumulation. It sounds like a good day to stay home. The wood stove's going, we have enough leftovers & cookies to last about a week, and the backup generator's ready. I think we're GTG.

Excellent selections. 😁👍
A very nice key wind watch you have there. 😻
Do you know the year the watch was made?
I'm guessing 1860's to 1880's.

My key wind (1885 Elgin H.H. Taylor) needs work.
I think it had a wrong replacement hair spring (too short) installed sometime in its history, (it runs 5 minutes fast per day.) when new it was rated at +/-5 minutes a week.) and the main spring may have taken a set, since it only runs around 22 hours per wind instead of 36+ hours.
Thank you. It was made in 1886, and still runs like a champ. With the regulator maxed out, she's about 2 minutes slow after 24 hours.

Merry Christmas! Checking out this Schatt & Morgan "Express" automatic with festive red Shockwood scales for the Christmas day 🎅

Another cool knife and fascinating video, Chip!

I "think" I am going to carry (so far as I know) my elderest stockman for a while.
Imperial Bicentennial stockman. (same size as the 8OT)
According to my research, Imperial started production in 1975, and ended production (with the bicentennial cover film) in 1976. ... I think they used the "Old Hickory-ish" "hand forged" blades on other commemorative models longer.

I have an 8OT, which was made sometime between 1961(?) and 2004, though I don't believe it is a "Last Days" knife.
It may be older, the same age, or younger.
I am not aware of any way to narrow the age down from the period the 8OT was made. ☹️

Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Frost Flying Falcon I picked up in a pawnshop once upon a time. It used to be on my desk in my office at work and would get used quite frequently. I no longer have an office or desk, and the Falcon only comes out for one week (then goes back in its cage for 81 weeks - the current length of my rotation schedule).

Lambsfoot of the Week is Black Jack, my 2018 ebony Guardians Lambsfoot. In this photo, he's using an early form of A.I. to determine the product of 2 and 3.
