I am concerned for the sensitivities of my fellow porchismos. So to alleviate any distress caused by my totin the same knives day after day, ALL YEAR (so far), I always take a fresh photo for you. You're welcome.
Spending the day, and likely tomorrow, at my Mom's while the contractors demolish and rebuild her bathroom into a safer one with walk-in shower/tub and grab bars. As soon as they finish, another crew will install a chair lift. She insists that she wants to stay in the big house we all grew up in, and I'll do anything I can to allow that, but at eighty eight and alone, I've been worried about that long staircase and dangerous bathroom. Had to tell her it had to be done if she wanted to stay there after her initial reticence. But once I used my Dad voice, and made it clear as a condition of staying there, she said "Okay" and smiled.
Now she's really happy we're doing it.

Earlier today, coming back from a post office run to get my accumulated mail and restart delivery. It started raining and has been doing so on and off all day. The mighty 55

I had a good trip to Tennessee. The weather was good. I got the leaves off the roof and put a little over a hundred miles on my PT Cruiser. I have a 2008 PT Cruiser that I inherited that is my "Tennessee car". It doesn't do cars any good to sit, so I try to put some miles on it every time I go there. It currently has a little over 50,000 miles on it. Put new tags on it while I was down there. As mentioned above, I got to celebrate my Aunt Bernice's 87th birthday. She's still going really well :)
