Up north to check over my new to me motorbike before riding it back in March some time.

Lots of bits from my old one are on this one,so yes it looks much the same. 😁

My friend owns a woods and has lots of animals and things,his wife is a great cook.

Their new dog is all over me like cheap suit. 🤣

Having seen an Opinel or two here recently, I says to myself, "Self, why haven't you toted an Opinel lately?"

Nice trio, Jeff! That’s a nice looking older Opinel (pre-1980, I think, per the somewhat confusing chart I have).

Thanks for the Opinel info. I bought the #8 I have back in the '70s in a backpacking store in Champaign. Opinels were real popular among backpackers due to their light weight. I bought this one decades later on the bay, and had no idea of it's age.
Some friction folders. The Opinel nr 5 got the burned handle with oil and wax treatment, blade will get the coffee patina. These need their own pocket sheaths.

Do those friction folders sometimes partially open in your pocket? That would not be good.
