I love the fog. It makes me feel like I’m in a surreal movie.

You’d love living in San Francisco especially in the fog belt where I’m located![]()

The day you leave the slip behind will be the day it becomes a UserThese are two of my most favorite slipjoints.
The Bison Belly has only seen the cutting of envelopes and packaging so far. I’m having a difficult time putting it to food use because the etch is just so cool! I supposed, over time, I’ll have to bite the bullet and really use it to appreciate it to its fullest extent.
The Caterpillar knife I rescued from a second hand store and has been one of my most exciting finds. It has notched backsprings to mimic the tread on a bulldozer…it is really quite special.
Have a wonderful day, Porch!

Very capable and good looking pairing.
When I resided in the San Bernardino/Fontana area, I noticed folks on I-10 and I-15 were going "normal" freeway speeds (~65 mph even tho the national speed limit was 55 mph) and bumper to bumper, when the smog was heavy enough that it was difficult to see your hood ornament. I remain convinced them folk is/was crazy, and/or devoid of sanity.I used to live in SF (Excelsior) and the fog there doesn't hold a candle to the fog we get in the San Joaquin Valley during the winter. Fog here is defined by lines - a three line fog means you can see three of the stripes on the pavement ahead of you. Two line fogs are not that uncommon. Of course, so are multi car pileups and accidents on the back roads where people blow through stop signs because they just don't see them. There have been times when I needed to turn left across the oncoming lane and I rolled down the window to listen for traffic because there was no way I was going to see it. Yet some people here insist on driving 80 mph in the dense fog. When I lived in Stockton I knew a guy who worked for a medical lab and he told me that in order to keep their sample delivery schedule during the winter they would drive at normal freeway speed on the freeway with one of their wheels on the bumps between the lanes so they could tell if they were still on track.
Home from a 200 mile all day round trip to the doctor's and slipped my little Robey in pocket. Thanks again, Bob, I love this little guy!
