What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

98 today...

After the temp peaked at 83F yesterday it started to drop, and its still dropping. The high for today was at midnight. The low is forecast to be 29F tonight. That'll be a temperature change of 54 degrees F in about 30 hours. A little extreme even for Missouri in mid-March 🥵🥶 Last night I had the window open next to my easy chair when the wind started building. It wasn't a gust. It was a steady building in intensity until it became so noticeable I quit multi-tasking to notice it. Then it just died out. A little spooky it was. We had lots of thunder and lightning, but none of the huge hail or tornados other places got hit with. Its still dark and overcast today. Hope nobody got hit bad 🤞

I love the fog. It makes me feel like I’m in a surreal movie.

I think walking with Doug the Pug would make me feel like I was in a surreal movie. 🤓

Big and little from Modoc Ed.
Thrilling threesome, Jer! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Carrying a new to me CS Medium Stockman in the pocket tody. "Abby the Hoarder" is much better today and back to her old self - digging up and relocating items in her "Field of Hidey Holes". Sausage and ???? for breakfast.

Congrats on that classic Case, ED! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Nice carries, Dan!! I sure miss "Doonesbury!!:( Our paper stopped it years ago!!
I can still find Doonesbury online with the "news service" that has practically replaced a lot of print newspapers in Michigan. Doonesbury seems to have new content only on Sundays now, and has "re-runs" the other 6 days. Since many "stories" in Doonesbury deal with current events, some of the "re-runs" are quite outdated.

This weekend flea market find, cleaned and sharpened. In my pocket now.

Impressive quality for a flea market find; congrats! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

One of my grandmas would often say, "Two wrongs don't make a right."
You've provided photo evidence that 2 Wrights don't make a wrong. ;)

Archive shot since I’m traveling today.

Yikes, Dave! :eek:
It looks like traveling without a knife has turned your world upside down!

If I could only carry one knife, I'd probably go for a 2-blade pattern with one of the blades being serrated. Until 12 years ago, I ALWAYS used a serrated blade (on a cheap, plastic-handled steak knife) for food prep, and I still use a serrated Victorinox paring knife in the kitchen at least once most days.

...

I'm starting my day with the same carry as yesterday, GEC 29 stockyard whittler.

Outstanding photo of a splendid knife, Greg! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Classy stockman! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Couple newbies in the pocket today. The 13 might be the best fruit knife I own right now.

Those two knives make a great pair! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
...
my ice cream had the hair style of that cartoon character,can’t remember his name.🤔

I see what you mean about your ice cream cone and the cartoon hairstyle. I know what you mean, but I looked through samples of over 200 comic strips and couldn't find the guy I'm thinking of. (I think there's a character who "fits" your cone better than Johnny Bravo, who's only been around for 30 years.) Your tulips are looking grand; probably 6 weeks before our tulips will bloom.

I like your chunk of train rail! :thumbsup::cool::cool:
I grew up on a dairy farm, and we had several pieces of track that we kept by the workbench to use mainly as anvils. We had a couple that were about the size of yours, and then at least one about twice that size.

Alan, I'll quote what one of my friends used to say years ago"
"Take your time going, but hurry back!" ;)

Very distinguished lambsfoot, Bob! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

It’s going to be another beautiful day here in the City by the Bay! Lots of sunshine and a gentle breeze. Keeping me company a couple of little CRKTs that just don’t get enough attention but not today! Have a great day folks! 😀

I really like that bottom knife, Dan! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
IIRC, it's called the Daedalus model, right?
When I first joined BF, I was quite taken by that model, but I seldom see them any more.

Rough Rider stag sowbelly in my pocket today.

Thanks, Bob. It really is a solid and well finished knife, RR gets it done right often times. I like this one because the blade pulls and snap are perfect on all three blades, bonus being no half stops. I'm not a fan of half stops on most knives, stout half stops are where I usually tear a fingernail. :)
I like RR sowbelly stockmans, Greg, for the reasons you state, and I have a RR stag sowbelly that I love. The stag on yours is sensational! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Terrific triple play, Mitch! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks guys :thumbsup:
I examined my trapper closely and could not see a tent. I thought, "These guys have been staring at knives too long" 😵‍💫
Then...wa bam! There it was: A tent! 🥳 Its like one of those pictures that suddenly snap into focus 🤓

BTW, Centermass, this one has a 1999 tang stamp.
Mike, this is my favorite BF story so far this week! 😁
And for some reason it reminded me of an old Hank Williams gospel song:

Cool pic of your knife and you, Bob! :cool::cool:;)
I often see myself in knife photos I take, but I rarely notice other people in their knife pics.

Case 6254 and Vic Picnicker. Again.

The knife blade on your Leatherman looks almost like a lambsfoot, Jeff. :cool::cool::thumbsup:
I ended up at the Leatherman website looking at the Bond and some other models. Now I have Leatherman ads coming up wherever I go online! :rolleyes:

I've got the 25ish year NEW Camillus stockman in pocket after having my face whittled on by the Mohs surgeon this morning. One slice and done. 🥳
Coffee and grilled Jalapeño Spam with salsa verde and shredded cheese for breakfast.

Glad the procedure was relatively quick, Jeff; hope you heal up fast and don't develop more trouble spots. :thumbsup::cool::cool:
My Dad, who lived to be 95, was a fair-skinned farmer working outside (without sun screen) April through November for his working life. He had lots of skin cancer procedures over his last 40 years, at least; I don't know if any of them were the Mohs procedure. (Kind of doubt it, since I think this is the first I've heard of Mohs.)

Adding to pocket for wood/would Wednesday.

Biscuts & Gravy (w/rong frozen in can not baking powder biscuits. The one person who new how to make home maid baking powder biscuts & gravy, hit 65 and retired. 😭 Honestly and truthfully, he was the only staff member what new how to cook. He was a former Sous(?) Chef.)
The cook situation sounds less than ideal. :(
(On the other hand, my attitude has always been that if I don't have to cook the food and/or wash the dishes, I'm not gonna complain about the meal. 🤓)

Superb selection and photo, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
You could title your pic "Shadows in Woods" (or vice versa).

Had a dermatologist appointment today in Skaneateles. It's a 20-minute drive from home. All is well.
It gave us an excuse to grab lunch at the Sherwood Inn, one of our favorite haunts.
I had my treasured Coffin Jack with me, but I didn't need it, so it stayed in my pocket.

Man, that's good luck. I had basal cell on my nose, and they had to slice and dice it three times before the margins were free of cancer cells.
Nice Camillus.
Nice Blonde Blackguard, Tyson!
Hope you can carve out some playing time.
I often throw vegetables in the wok, go play, and then remember I'm supposed to be cooking supper when I smell burning veggies.

Steve @afishhunter: Here's Biscuits and Gravy all made by my wife Cindy from scratch with Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage. She makes it for me quite often.

You've got a good woman, my friend.
The only thing bothering me is every time you mention B 'N G, I get hungry again.

It’s funny how many of them are just as current 🤔
