I can still find Doonesbury online with the "news service" that has practically replaced a lot of print newspapers in Michigan. Doonesbury seems to have new content only on Sundays now, and has "re-runs" the other 6 days. Since many "stories" in Doonesbury deal with current events, some of the "re-runs" are quite outdated.Nice carries, Dan!! I sure miss "Doonesbury!!Our paper stopped it years ago!!
Impressive quality for a flea market find; congrats!
One of my grandmas would often say, "Two wrongs don't make a right."A. Wright & Son lamb with a Wright Bros. pen.

If I could only carry one knife, I'd probably go for a 2-blade pattern with one of the blades being serrated. Until 12 years ago, I ALWAYS used a serrated blade (on a cheap, plastic-handled steak knife) for food prep, and I still use a serrated Victorinox paring knife in the kitchen at least once most days. All day, every dayView attachment 3127779
Outstanding photo of a splendid knife, Greg!...
I'm starting my day with the same carry as yesterday, GEC 29 stockyard whittler.

Those two knives make a great pair!Couple newbies in the pocket today. The 13 might be the best fruit knife I own right now.

I see what you mean about your ice cream cone and the cartoon hairstyle. I know what you mean, but I looked through samples of over 200 comic strips and couldn't find the guy I'm thinking of. (I think there's a character who "fits" your cone better than Johnny Bravo, who's only been around for 30 years.) Your tulips are looking grand; probably 6 weeks before our tulips will bloom.
Alan, I'll quote what one of my friends used to say years ago"Stepping away for a few daysView attachment 3128357
Very distinguished lambsfoot, Bob!
I really like that bottom knife, Dan!It’s going to be another beautiful day here in the City by the Bay! Lots of sunshine and a gentle breeze. Keeping me company a couple of little CRKTs that just don’t get enough attention but not today! Have a great day folks!

Rough Rider stag sowbelly in my pocket today.

I like RR sowbelly stockmans, Greg, for the reasons you state, and I have a RR stag sowbelly that I love. The stag on yours is sensational! Thanks, Bob. It really is a solid and well finished knife, RR gets it done right often times. I like this one because the blade pulls and snap are perfect on all three blades, bonus being no half stops. I'm not a fan of half stops on most knives, stout half stops are where I usually tear a fingernail.![]()
Terrific triple play, Mitch!
Mike, this is my favorite BF story so far this week! Thanks guys
I examined my trapper closely and could not see a tent. I thought, "These guys have been staring at knives too long"
Then...wa bam! There it was: A tent! Its like one of those pictures that suddenly snap into focus
BTW, Centermass, this one has a 1999 tang stamp.
Cool pic of your knife and you, Bob!
The knife blade on your Leatherman looks almost like a lambsfoot, Jeff.Case 6254 and Vic Picnicker. Again.

Glad the procedure was relatively quick, Jeff; hope you heal up fast and don't develop more trouble spots.I've got the 25ish year NEW Camillus stockman in pocket after having my face whittled on by the Mohs surgeon this morning. One slice and done.
Coffee and grilled Jalapeño Spam with salsa verde and shredded cheese for breakfast.

Cool pic of your knife and you, Bob!
I often see myself in knife photos I take, but I rarely notice other people in their knife pics.

Very observant, like you, I did not see my mug shot on knob, until you pointed it out.![]()
Man, that's good luck. I had basal cell on my nose, and they had to slice and dice it three times before the margins were free of cancer cells.I've got the 25ish year NEW Camillus stockman in pocket after having my face whittled on by the Mohs surgeon this morning. One slice and done.

You've provided photo evidence that 2 Wrights don't make a wrong.
Yikes, Dave!
It looks like traveling without a knife has turned your world upside down!

I like your chunk of train rail!
I grew up on a dairy farm, and we had several pieces of track that we kept by the workbench to use mainly as anvils. We had a couple that were about the size of yours, and then at least one about twice that size.
Alan, I'll quote what one of my friends used to say years ago"
"Take your time going, but hurry back!"
Very distinguished lambsfoot, Bob!

IIRC, it's called the Daedalus model, right?
When I first joined BF, I was quite taken by that model, but I seldom see them any more.

Mike, this is my favorite BF story so far this week!
And for some reason it reminded me of an old Hank Williams gospel song:
Cool pic of your knife and you, Bob!
I often see myself in knife photos I take, but I rarely notice other people in their knife pics.
The knife blade on your Leatherman looks almost like a lambsfoot, Jeff.
I ended up at the Leatherman website looking at the Bond and some other models. Now I have Leatherman ads coming up wherever I go online!
Glad the procedure was relatively quick, Jeff; hope you heal up fast and don't develop more trouble spots.
My Dad, who lived to be 95, was a fair-skinned farmer working outside (without sun screen) April through November for his working life. He had lots of skin cancer procedures over his last 40 years, at least; I don't know if any of them were the Mohs procedure. (Kind of doubt it, since I think this is the first I've heard of Mohs.)
The cook situation sounds less than ideal.
(On the other hand, my attitude has always been that if I don't have to cook the food and/or wash the dishes, I'm not gonna complain about the meal.)
Superb selection and photo, Steve!
You could title your pic "Shadows in Woods" (or vice versa).
