Those M39 rifles really do tell a story and a just a just plain pretty too!Nice find. Lots of character. I have an Eagle Phil that looks so good I don’t know why NYKC called it a second. I can still see part of the Hammer Brand on the tang. These old well used knives are fun to collect, I always wonder what stories they can tell. It’s like my Finn M39. The receiver is dated 1907. After WW1 Finland acquired a lot of Russian M1891 rifles and recycled the parts. My M39 was converted with a new barrel and stock 1942. So a 1906 M1891 receiver from Russia was eventually used against Russia in WW2.
This one has been gathering dust too long so in the pocket it went today.
