They're Irish Setter Wingshooters. Irish Setter is a subsidiary of Red Wing. The materials are Red Wing, but the boots are assembled in Asia, so these are less expensive. I really prefer to buy American, but there's about a hundred dollar difference in price between these & the comparable Red Wings.

The Oriole scouts showed up two days ago. Since I remembered to hang the detergent jug Oriole feeder, and fill it with grape jelly, Mr. Scout will bring all the breeding pairs soon. They'll be a lot of fun to watch before their young are able to start back toward South America.

Duncan is focused on the grill where I grilled chicken last night.

The Orioles & humming birds both arrived here May 1st. My wife hangs the humming bird feeder out the last week of April, and they zone right in on it. The Orioles eat out of the same sugar water feeder as the humming birds. We go through a lot of sugar over the Summer feeding those little hogs.:)

Thank you. I was looking at the American made Red Wings this morning and noticed they are spendy.

I still see puppy in Duncan but also see a beautiful dog.

I think Irish Setter is one of their oldest (original?) boots. Mine, the six inch, were made in the US, and when I wore out the white crepe soles, I sent them in to be resoled with Vibram. I also have two other RW which have been resoled. It's worth it when they are $300 boots.🥴

This is my second pair of the Irish Setter Wingshooters. The first pair lasted almost 20 years, and were resoled twice. They were comfortable, and well made, so I just got another pair. There are a few things that I learned to never skimp on. Boots are one of them.
