Cool tradition that you've kept going on each and every birthday, Barrett! Love the pics. Looks like Mom & Dad are making each of Scout's birthday's special for her. Happy birthday, Scout!Today was my daughter Scout’s 6th birthday, and if you know me, you know that means I had her Nifebrite #15 “Scout” in my pocket today. I had this knife with me the day she was born, and I carry it every year on her birthday (and other special occasions). This year the Winterbottom #81 came along for the ride.

No huge birthday events today. Scout opened her presents in the morning, I made us all breakfast, then she had school (we offered to let her skip school, but she didn’t want to miss out on celebrating with her class). After school we went to a local toy store the girls love (they get to pick out one gift there every year) and then took them to play at a park for a while. It was a sunny day but we found a shady spot to take Scout’s annual birthday knife pic. Of course, if you’re familiar with this particular tradition, you’ll know that I’m going to subject you to all the previous years’ pics first.
Here’s Scout with her knife on the day she was born.

As you can see, we finally ditched the Bluey ears that made the last two years’ pictures, but still had a Bluey birthday shirt.
Scout got to choose where we ate for dinner, and when Scout chooses, it’s pretty much always Chipotle.
