What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've really really been loving that wonderful old Schrade Shadow pen that seas165 kindly sent me and I've just stuck with it the past couple months because I thought my pre-ordered Case cheetah Cub was right around the corner.
Well I'm still waiting, so I decided to give the Schrade a break and go with something else.

This wonderful IXL spear Barlow from the GAW box was calling me.

I'm still sticking with my Buck 113 that I rehandled in elk though.

Carrying a medium Roper today.View attachment 3169713
@5K Qs. , I love the Ropers. Almost all of them are Carbon Steel, which I like, though you need to knnow about that. This is a medium. They have some lrger ones as well, though none of theeir folders are really big. I have several. Great value for the money. The come plenty sharp. Fit and finish are decent - definitely comparable other good brands in the lower budget class.

These knives are built and sold to be used. They have steel liners rather than brass. The brass is gorgeous, but of course the steel is stronger. They do have a half stop, though it isn't great. They are too easy to open and close for my taste, though there is always a compromise with these less expensive ones. I have one of their largest folders, which is a Trapper. Both blades have lockback locking. That one is probabouy my favorite.
