What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carried this English Jack today to the Bodie Island Light Station. We’ve had a great week on the Outer Banks with our family, and we caught more fish than we could count. Most were bluefish, but we also caught a striper, a red drum, a dogfish shark, sea mullet, Spanish mackerel, a flounder, and a stingray. We’re heading back home in the morning but are already looking forward to coming back in September and October. Hopefully a red drum bite will be on then!

Wondering about the old H&R revolver...my Grandma had one in .22lr. Chrome plated, with a very heavy trigger pull. She used to stick it in the pocket of her bathrobe if someone knocked on their door at night. They lived on Mo. Rt. 7, and it had a reputation for shenanigans.
Seemed like whenever an outlaw was on the run, they always went down to Climax Springs to hideout. I am pretty sure my Mom has that gun stashed away somewhere, and I need to ask her about it. At 89 she does not need it.
All that to say I'd love to see more pics of your old revolver. I always wanted the top break H&R in .22 ~ model 99, I believe.
 
Saturday means we get to go to the breeder's for our weekly training class. We've completed Puppy Kindergarten, First Grade, Basic and Advanced Obedience, and the current one is advanced Heeling. It's always fun to watch, and until this last class, lots of Duncan's littermates. And we've made some nice acquaintances among the other dog folks. It kind of reminds me of getting together with Blade Forums folks at the knife show. Friendships form among people who share a common interest.
Saturday also means it's a good day to carry Schrades and stag...

Sounds like a blast. Glad to hear you caught Red drum that far north!
 
After carrying a stockman as my primary carry for a bit over a year, I "think" it might be time to carry a different favored pattern as my primary carry ... at least for the weekend.
(However, I'm sticking with carbon steel and yeller.)

Thank you! What a great memory to have. Hopefully you will get the opportunity to have that one.
This H&R is a .32 caliber. I bought it sometime back for a song. It’s in really good condition. I’ll post more pics of it a bit later in the day as I am still at work. I used to have a stainless steel, western model, 6 shot that was mint. I foolishly sold it when l got hard up for money as a young, misguided soul. I wish……haha. You know the rest. Stay tuned.
 
This one again today. A John Primble, Belknap Hdw, from, I believe, the early 1940's. It worn from use but still has a lot of life in it. Boker USA made a lot of Primble's for Belknap and I am pretty sure they made this one. It is one of my favorites from my rotation.

Well, we came home with two smart phones. We don't get a cell phone signal here at the house so we got Wi-Fi Calling, unlimited talk and text, and 12 GB data. Still haven't figured the phones out. Anyway there's sure to be a bit of Navy language said during the days and most likely, weeks to come. Sausage and eggs-up for breakfast. Buck 301 Stockman in the pocket today.
