What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

First post on Bladeforums: I started lurking over the summer and have finally got some pictures together so I can actually add something to threads.

Today, as usual, I've been carrying my Svord Peasant Mini

Well, I partook of the Castor Kool-Aid. Action is rough but that will sort itself out. Great ergonomics, and probably the sharpest knife out of the box I've had in a long time. Really a neat little package (though this is the biggest one, not so little.) Apples beware!

Welcome aboard! I've been seriously considering one of these Svords. They seem like great bushcraft/camp knives.

1994 Case Trapper. It's number 202 of 250; and it's the (first) "Battle of Bull Run" (aka "First Manassas") knife. It has Jefferson Davis on one blade, and Stonewall Jackson on the other. A real beauty.

Thanks for the welcome!

Being UK-based, it's a great EDC choice for me, although the number of people who've asked "Is that a straight razor?" is slightly alarming. While I'm not the best at sharpening, and am working without a proper sharpening system, using sandpaper and a strop I've got it to a level I'm happy with, and it functions fine opening packages and cutting up my sandwiches. The major selling points are that I have more confidence in it not closing on me in use than with a slipjoint, and the plastic handles are terrifically lightweight.

While it's very usable, if I had the option I'd probably choose the Opinel No. 8 over it for a locking knife.

I just got my perfect knife and then started thinking it might be better with a spear instead of a clip.

Im thinking this may be a great knife to carry. its basically a 4" stockman without the spey blade. I have been considering getting one. Besides your clip/spear dilemma, how do you like it as a EDC knife? more pics would be ok too - especially a top-down shot :)

Carried my new Case Stockman. Part of the Salesman's Sampler. Shows what Case can still do today when they wanna make a nice red dyed bone.

It's hard not to bring both to work, but carried the smaller stag scaled Le Thiers Compact by Chambriards today

Heyyy, now that one is a stunner! I'm digging the horn handle, and of course the sheep/lambsfoot blade is great... but the handle shape is what makes it so striking. I really like the end cap and that it's on an equal-ended frame. Two thumbs up!

This has been in my pocket to see if I like a small fixed blade for everyday carry. So far I like it. It still has not kicked my Case single blade sowbelly out of my other pocket yet....

Oh shucks. I'm gonna step in here because I have one also. 'Fraid I don't have a top down shot. It is the size and thickness of a three blade stockman. I am quite fond of mine. The blade combination works well for everyday chores. I am happy it has a clip blade. I much prefer a clip to a spear.

Boker does a good job with the 440C. The knife was reasonably sharp out of the box. A solid 5 for spring strength (I define 5 as about equal to a Victorinox Tinker.)

I will say that the sheepsfoot rides somewhat higher than it needs to (as is common in many stockman designs). I've decided that I don't object to it. It still is comfortable for me to use the clip. This is a limited edition. If you like it, I'd advise buying one while they are available.
