Went on a business trip and came across an outdoor - hunting - fishing shop. I found a slimline Opinel and a interesting small pocket puukko, this one: http://www.lamnia.fi/items.php?lang=en&pid=7088

I will post pictures later.

Ah! I thought you'd posted about these before amigo. It must have been another fellow who posted of the antler version.

I think you'll enjoy that....given your new fetish ;)

The Cocobolo and the Cloud. A really beautiful looking package

This one's breaking in nicely:

I keep seeing the shield all over again, and loving it every time.

Here's a top-down, though I missed a bit of it.
I like the clip too. I'm just getting to the age when I think about easier opening. Also, spears are starting to look exotic to me.
But I like this knife for having a main blade just a whisker shy of 3", which is the max I can pocket without concealing a weapon. I like the straight-edge sheepfoot as a secondary. My problem with Jacks has always been that the blades are too similar, but the 3rd blade on a stockman seems like excess baggage to me.
One flaw this example has is a spot on the edge that contacts the spring. It isn't enough for me to want to send it back.
In fact, I can't always see it and might almost be imagining it.

Thanks for the replies Knarfang, sitflyer and scrteened porch. You have all sealed the deal, Iam getting one of these, when funds are available that is. It will be nice to buy something other than GEC for once ;) I kind of wish they put a liner between the blades but its not a deal breaker. Im surpised more companies don't make a 2-blade stockman like this - dropping the spey blade. Only other one I really know of is the old timer 93OT, but im sure theres probably more out there.

Joeymoey, click on my avatar and send me an email, if you are at least 18 years old I have a surprise for you!

just a little more fuel for your fire ;) this is really a great Jackknife, clip and sheepsfoot, the perfect combo for EDC tasks...I'll be totin' this one today, just put it in the pocket now :)

This is the Boker Evergreen series with olive wood right? I just "discovered" these and am really wanting the slim trapper or single blade peanut. I've been looking for a good single blade peanut. Do any of you guys have those patterns?

I'm carrying my Sheepfoot Charlow again.

Trying to show the refined contours is difficult because they're fairly subtle but it's quite noticeable in the hand.

I feel like in my climbing travels I may have clipped that bolt. Great shot and pretty knife!

Hello Nathan,

That bolt was one of three used for rapelling off the top of Bradley Falls in North Carolina. It looks like a crazy descent.

Take care, Nathan

I went for a business trip this week and came across and outdoor, hunting and fishing shop. I bought this Opinel slim from there. I liked it instantly, a slim, light and elegant knife. And also a damn good slicer! It is a nr 8.

Lovely Eureka Peter.^^

Glad I pulled the trigger on this one

I've had a few #73L's in various guises over these past few years. Passed them on to friends, exchanged etc but this one is my favourite and sits as my work knife most of the time. It's only when you have a decent amount of Ebony to get hold of you appreciate it's other qualities (besides its beauty and toughness), it has a tactile grippyness no other wood I've handled has, even when wet. Great for a working knife.

thanks…..nice knife yourself. I was a bit late getting into the ebony thing but four of my top five knives are ebony. Just love it.
