What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Im thinking this may be a great knife to carry. its basically a 4" stockman without the spey blade. I have been considering getting one. Besides your clip/spear dilemma, how do you like it as a EDC knife? more pics would be ok too - especially a top-down shot :)

just a little more fuel for your fire ;) this is really a great Jackknife, clip and sheepsfoot, the perfect combo for EDC tasks...I'll be totin' this one today, just put it in the pocket now :)

My first Svord, thanks to a very generous member and the pay it forward threads

Carrying this lovely old Robeson Harness Jack today, given to me by Duncan :)

And my trusty Castor (Cheers Scruff )

JB - You are most welcome my friend.

LG - That is a lovely number. I love that 'feeling' you get from singing sharp old steel.

Here is my carry for the day....may very well be joining me on a trip to Liverpool this weekend too.
A lovely Case gifted by Willgoy. Thank you brother.

Thom, it was an honour as you had sent me a knife that I like very much indeed. Horn handled Pattada style, I carry it constantly thank you.
But today, dug out a David Laguiole from the 1980s, this too is horn and the carbon on it is some of the sharpest slicing steel I've ever encountered:D:eek:

Regards to all, Will

Thanks Nathan, those Chambriards are very nice knives, the stag just fits better being wider and grippier but the other two are also great additions to my daily carry from time to time.

But this little rascal, that looks really handy, and well balanced too, looks like a great shop knife right there!

This has been in my pocket to see if I like a small fixed blade for everyday carry. So far I like it. It still has not kicked my Case single blade sowbelly out of my other pocket yet....

Oh shucks. I'm gonna step in here because I have one also. 'Fraid I don't have a top down shot. It is the size and thickness of a three blade stockman. I am quite fond of mine. The blade combination works well for everyday chores. I am happy it has a clip blade. I much prefer a clip to a spear.

Boker does a good job with the 440C. The knife was reasonably sharp out of the box. A solid 5 for spring strength (I define 5 as about equal to a Victorinox Tinker.)

I will say that the sheepsfoot rides somewhat higher than it needs to (as is common in many stockman designs). I've decided that I don't object to it. It still is comfortable for me to use the clip. This is a limited edition. If you like it, I'd advise buying one while they are available.

Here's a top-down, though I missed a bit of it.
I like the clip too. I'm just getting to the age when I think about easier opening. Also, spears are starting to look exotic to me.
But I like this knife for having a main blade just a whisker shy of 3", which is the max I can pocket without concealing a weapon. I like the straight-edge sheepfoot as a secondary. My problem with Jacks has always been that the blades are too similar, but the 3rd blade on a stockman seems like excess baggage to me.
One flaw this example has is a spot on the edge that contacts the spring. It isn't enough for me to want to send it back.
In fact, I can't always see it and might almost be imagining it.

I feel like in my climbing travels I may have clipped that bolt. Great shot and pretty knife!

Nice shot of that Rancher Erik. Makes me want to get the yellow even though I already have the black and the rosewood.
Very solid knives. I didn't care for the squared off slabs though, so I modded mine.

Smithhammer, every time I see one of your pics I, like a little kid, want to get one!
