What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This time I left my CV Texas Jack home and pocked CV Stockman instead. It makes excllent rotation knives in daily carry.

I have wanted a seahorse for so long it's not even funny but I don't have the cash, heck I spent it on my new case LOL They truely are sweet knives and I love the wharncliff pattern.

:)The same one I've carried since the middle of November; my Case black G-10 Humpback Whittler. This knife is used daily and it has held up excellently. The blades are still tight and just a few strokes on the blades used at the end of the day and it is ready for the coming day. Right now, I can't see me replacing it!

Old Kaufmann and Sons folder. I bought this knife new in 1975 during a trip to New Zealand. The sports store I purchased it from only had two brands of knives - Kaufmanns and funny flat things that I now know to be Mercators. The Kaufmann has lost its needle like tip and is mostly retired but gets taken out now and again.

I hate it when tips are round, aspecially on new knifes. I want the tip to be sharp as a needle. That kaufmann must be easy though to give back the tip.

Myself I dont post very often in this thread as I seldom swap EDC nowadays. I just carry my medium Case stockman CV and bone. Kind of fullfills my deepest expectations. I also carry a Case yellow sodbuster jr CV, the best userpattern I ever tried in a slipjoint, I will carry this one until my khnutbuster arrives, after that we will see if Im as I teach others to be, Use your best tools.

Yeah I'm sure I could do something with the tip - it really isn't a problem though. The blade is very thin and sharp and and it hasn't really lost much utility as a result of the wear around the tip.

Today I went to a friend's wedding, it's really hot here so I tried to go as light as possible and carried a Victorinox alox lumberjack, a great 85mm SAK that's even lighter than the Cadet but still has a couple of useful tools. Here's a pic from swissbianco (the bloke who got Victorinox to make these knives):

S&M Harness Jack, 1095 steel. My wife got it for me for Christmas (with a little help ;) ). I put a new edge on it a couple nights ago, man I love how easy 1095 is to work with.

Hi,

I've been carrying Ole' Number 7 lately. My GEC #25 Barlow. There is something very comforting about the feel of it in my pocket.

Your right thejamppa! navihawk it's hard to tell by the image but I think you need to reprofile that master blade. My 1095 Win. Moose gave me a fit until I reprofiled it and now it is about as sharp as anything except my large stockman, ouch:eek:!
