What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Since early this morning, a Schatt & Morgan Barlow in Winterbottom Bone from about 6-7 years back..

I liked the Texas Jack pattern and when I saw that it had CV blades I decided to jump on one. It came out of the box and into my pocket. When the store bought edge begins to go I'll set it to my edge profile but the original edge isn't a bad edge. The blades are centered nicely and the wrap around backsprings are nice. I don't have a big attraction to the Amber bone but I think the new CV blades only come on Yellow Derlin and Amber bone handles. It's not too small and not too big (3-1/2") with comfortable opening pressure and clean blade snap open. It has good blade to backspring transition but nowhere near custom, what do you want for under $45?

Very nice Texas Jack! One thing I really like about this particular knife is that somewhat modified wharncliffe secondary blade.

Great edge holding. Wicked sharp after a reprofiling, nice thin grind, perfect backspring, light and thin in the pocket. It's a love thing.

I have my trusty yella Case peanut with CV blades. It just doesn't get any better in my opinion.;)

Mr Latham was kind enough to send me this one today. Don't recall seeing the GEC linerlock Scout with red-dyed buffalo bone posted here. Looking forward to touching up the edge and carrying it next week...

Mike must have been feeling the Christmas spirit. He arranged for a Tidioute toothpick in River Blue Bone to be dropped off at my house today just in case no one thought of getting me a knife for Christmas. It'd been getting a workout and will probably be keeping me company tomorrow as well.

Yeah, them thar toothpicks are sweeeet. I got one in genuine stage as an impulse purchase during thanksgiving when I passed by Smokey Mountain Knife Works.
