I like this pic and these knives!!!! Thank you!!!

Beautiful photo, clever prose, brilliant post!

Thanks much, gents -- I often make myself look like a better photographer by outsourcing the real work to Nature. :)

The Douk-Douk is a newcomer to the rotation, but I like it quite a bit. I got a perfectly nice Aitor Castor in the same order, but Mr. Douk positively overshadows the Spaniard, so far. Sets a new yardstick by which 'minimalism' can be measured, too, and makes today's knife look positively fancypants in comparison.

I'm a little ashamed to say that it's been ages since I last carried my Case Texas Jack. It was out with me today though, together with GEC Soddie I received as a gift from Meako yesterday :)

Today's carry is a Jerry Halfrich Hidalgo, Mike Norris "Hornets Nest" stainless damascus and old growth redwood burl. Arrowhead made by Jerry with matching steel.

That's a beauty, Kris. And I already know how great that pattern is.

I've been doing my very best to annoy the neighbours at work these past few days

My old Svörd Peasant has been a really handy companion. The big handle of this (classic) model has been great with cold or gloves hands.

The blade was modded slightly in profile (edge and spine) to make it sub three inches. It was always good for peeling conies. Would be great to put it to work on some of the ones at work, they are nice and tasty looking.

One of best looking patterns S&M makes (or made) in my opinion. Very attractive.

Thanks! I believe these are still made. I got mine from J.Oeser (and at a crazy good price at that!) but I think they're still available at knifecenter. (Mods, I'm pretty sure knifecenter is a paid dealer here)

However, it is quite pricey so beware. It is a fantastic little slippie though.
