What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Yup, side to side

It's really very easy to sort out then. Believe me, I'm a total klutz and if I can do this, and with barely any tools, anyone can! :D What I use is a G clamp padded with a couple of pieces of balsa wood. Tighten the clamp up on the bolster, with the pivot in the centre, using the wood to pad the clamp. You'll need to experiment a little to see how much to tighten it, and don't overdo it, but when you get it right the play will have gone. However the ends of the pivot will now be very slightly proud. Put the bolster on a hard surface, such as a closed up vice or an anvil if you have one (I use a cobbler's last) and tap the pin gently with a small hammer. You'll need to tap each side. Afterwards smooth off the pin with some sandpaper, and the job should be done

Awesome, thank you :)

I'll try this with some cheaper knives as practice first.... Don't want to mess up my new favorite TL-29. :D

Good idea, don't go too heavy with the clamping, you can always do it again, or with the hammer. Once you see how easy it is, you'll soon be able to do it with confidence. Good luck

It's beautiful! The stag, the fancy bolsters, the blade configuration, and most importantly the size. It looks like a really great carry knife. :)
