-I have to remember to leave it home this afternoon, I'm flying south. Last time I forgot I had a melon knife in my backpack and the NSA boys nicked it.

My picture doesn't do it justice and certainly isn't on par with others in this thread, but I just received this yesterday and couldn't resist carrying today.

I'm carrying one of these in either pocket today and many days hereafter:

My 'brand new' (and as yet unnamed) African Blackwood "Day's Work" Barlow and ol' "T'mater Peel" now startin' to show a little age.

THANKS CHARLIE !!!

Thanks for the fantastic photos! Youve got the spearing, clipping and speying covered, but you still need something for sheep and pens :-)

Do you have a before an after of the T'mater Peel? Does stabilized bone change color over time?

---

I recently sought confirmation from GEC regarding their use of stabilized materials. Apparently I had misunderstood an earlier conversation. GEC informs me that:
"The only thing we use that is stabilized is Primitive Bone. All the rest of our bone is not stabilized nor are most of the woods"

I will be preparing several delicious servings of figurative Crow, no birds will be harmed during my re-education. I apologize if anyone was misled by my earlier posts that claimed all GEC bone is stabilized. At this point I dont even know if the CheChen is stabilized or not. Feel free to just ignore anything I say until I graduate from knife materials 101, sometime next year maybe.

I received an Opinel #10 today from RedLynx, and I get it now. It's a little stiffer than I expected, but I absolutely love the blade and handle. I think I'm gonna drop the spine and change the handle shape.

So I'm carrying that.

Today I'm toting this HSB that Orvet saved and brought back to life for me.
Just look at that peach seed jig.
