What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The yellow rose helped me trim up a pot roast and cut veggies today.

I have been on an SAK kick lately. I think the SAK has been around long enough to have earned the "traditional" distinction.

This one, however, goes a step further, since it has some gorgeous factory stag scales on it. A bit of a rarity.

Wow! I love that the T&T are still in place. Beauty.

I have several stag SAKs and the models with the toothpick and tweezers are very rare. Surprisingly I was able to snag 3 from a dealer with the T&T in them, but none of the others had stag like this.

This 3 1/2" Queen split spring whittler with D2 blades and amber stag bone covers went into my pocket this morning as soon as my wife gave it to me. The blades were passably sharp, sharp enough for me to use it this afternoon to cut some twine to hold down a tarp. But, I'll be working on them this week to put a truly satisfactory edge on them.

I think I'm more partial to Queen amber stag bone than any other cover material I've tried. And the D2 makes for a great blade for every day utility cutting. The fit and finish is very very good.

I'll need to carry this awhile and get a feel for the Queen interpretation of the whittler pattern.

Note: What appears to be a gap between the springs at the right end is brass.

The only traditional knife I have is owl head witch isn't that great. Had it since I was 15 or so for as gift. Haven't even look at it since I remember I had it. Isn't great but not awful either.Would like a good traditional knife though. The owl head just don't compare to others. Have been looking at other traditional knifes and has been giving me i9deas on what to look for.

That looks terrific, Frank!

How would you characterize the blades' walk and talk? (<-- a subjective question, I know....)
