A very special piece I picked up while junkfishing on the Amazon(.com) -- a Case 6344 in jigged pre-ban Delrin. Obviously, I don't carry this one very much for fear of dropping it or scratching the covers, since Delrins are now believed to be extinct in the wild.

I already got myself a Christmas present, but I'm really wanting a farmer lock or boys knife in spear point. It worries me that people rarely post the farmer lock, especially with all the reports of party in other gec lock backs. If anybody has any experience with the farmer locks I'd love to hear it.
I picked up a Farmer Lock used on the Exchange, and I really like it; it sees quite a bit of pocket time. It's a very handy little knife, a great size for EDC: small enough to carry unobtrusively, and use in front of non-knife-people, but large enough to handle tough work. The blade reminds me of a SAK on steroids. The quality is excellent, with no discernible blade wiggle in any direction. The pull is easy and smooth, since it's a lockback, yet the walk & talk is snappy. Very good little knife, and I would probably show it off more if it had pretty, natural handle handle covers (the Nifebrite acrylic is adequate, just not gorgeous).

Here's mine:

Hey Mark not sure what you mean? Case still produces knives with Delrin scales, it's used in many products including guitar picks and is DuPonts trademark I believe, and replaced the use of Celluloid.

Delrins exist now only in captivity; the last wild ones died out in the late 80s. Luckily, they still breed readily in captivity, so the population is in no danger of being wiped out. ;)
(He's just jokin' Pete.)

The Delrins only known natural enemy in the wild were the now extinct Naugas whose hydes were a valuable commodity in the 60's-70's......

Knife content:
I have a little Case just like that one...great little knives!!!!

Thanks, Jack. Ol' Faithful is my 3-season standby. Doesn't get much better (or more traditional?) than thick 30-oz wool. :D
