Giving the ebony Calf Roper a rest today.....not without serious debate.

Terrific knives every day, every size, pattern and handle material imaginable. I love this thread though it usually gives me an itch if you know what I mean :D

I've been sporting a regular Opinel N°8 in my pocket the last couple of days. I've been fondling it, using it, thinking about modding it like I did with a few others,... In the end I decided to simply carry it and enjoy the original design. Just love my Opi's.

Lovely old knife Jack..like that spike with that stag very much...follow that heading South and you be in the Antipodes...very nice................FES

Jack, did you need some extra engineering to keep your breeches up, with that old work horse in your pocket?!

Great knife and pic!!!

Thanks fellers. As son as I put it next to the compass the needle swung through 180 degrees Fes! :D I think I'll need belt AND braces for that one Scruff. I put it in the side-pack you gave me when I embarked on the 2nd leg of my quest. If I ever manage to upload the pics I'll post a thread about it!

My most attractive of knives....

It does not get enough pocket time, a fact I shall remedy by adding it to my Christmas cutlery 'load out' ;)

Smashing pic sir
