What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I bet yours has a great patina!

I've kept mine pretty clean and dry. There's some discoloration/darkening, and some spots, but it's still pretty shiny. I've polished it from time to time, but mostly I'm letting it age naturally rather than forcing a patina or deliberately using it on things that might stain it.

I don't pop up here too often, but I just wanted to say that this is one of the best threads in the forums! :D

So the Christmas is closing up, so I want to carry something gentle and warm like this Sway Back Jack.
Happy holidays everyone!

Interesting early Casio that!

Today the postman rang with the last delivery until 27th. TWO knives arrived from the USA bought from forum members. They took a fair time to appear but at this time of year you can't expect anything else. Well worth the wait: a CASE Pen in Maple wood, thanks Andrew and a GEC Eureka in Ivory Bone thanks to Jon.
Now there's something for ME under the tree:D:cool:

Regards for Christmas and beyond, Will

I've been toting my beloved Tidioute #53 and my not so carried Wenger Standard Issue with me these past few days. They have seemed a very good pairing.

Thought I'd take them along Seaburn beach for some fresh North Sea air!

I really like the look of this SAK. Is it the Champ, and are the covers authentic stag or synthetic? Either way, it looks great!

The Northfield #85 Bullet End Jack is a great pattern! I've been thinking about picking up one of the two blade spearpoint 85's like yours.

It is a Swiss Champ and it is real stag. I have several of these, both with and without the scale tools, but this one has the best looking stag.

I am with you on not forcing a patina. Yours looks very well cared for, thanks for sharing the pic. What do you polish it with?

Nice edge on that bantam Jack :)

Jack, thank you. It was blimmin' fresh along that beach I tell ya.

Thank for carrying the Bantam today. I dare say a bottle opening traditional shall continue to be on hand the next few days.

Cheers!

That watch is good stuff. Did you force a patina on the SBJ blades? Cool flashlight too, what is it?

Have these two with me on this cold, snowy day. It's too cold to take pictures outside, but this old hymn describes it well:

"In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow..."
