After a couple dreary days, the sun was back out today and I felt like carrying something a bit more colorful, so I went with my red bone Houndstooth.

Good news!
I bought an amber bone Texas Jack way back last summer from a somewhat-local knife dealer.
I used it on apples, and had some patina, and the proud backspring was getting old fast.
The place returned it for me! Patina'd blades, and purchased a year-ish ago. Now thats customer service!
Now I have a Case Mini-Trapper with yellow handles!

Thanks Paul, yep I sometimes think of where this knife started and where it landed over the past 50 years, to have been this abused and neglected for so long.

Congratulations, Andi!
After reading of your news, I grabbed the knife I carried when my son was born. A nice old 108OT that belonged to his great grandfather.
I think this will ride along with me for a while.

(please forgive the recycled pic)

It's a custom-built tube amp by Jack Anderson from Gig Harbor, Washington. He builds 'em one at a time to customer's specs; he's done a few amps for Bill Frisell.

Listened to some of his clips. Nice stuff. Good sounding amps. Nice prices too. I can't build a nice amp for a whole lot less.

Not sure how many of you are cheese lovers. Cypress Grove Chevre Humboldt Fog is the finest cheese I've ever eaten. It is no wonder it wins "best of" awards year after year. The knife is pretty good too.

That looks super tasty. I carried my Barlow as well, but the edge keeps giving me trouble.

Fantastic! I was born and raised in Humboldt county and operated a company that manufactured one of the ingredients used in some of their cheeses. If you can get it, truffle tremor is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing a taste of home! Enjoy. Oh yeah, the 8 years that I worked for the company I had a Vic Bantam in my pocket. It served as a great warehouse/food knife for me.
