I've been " Totin" this Tina all week at work in my pocket ( as well as the Leatherman Surge that is always on my belt ) .
It's the first time I've carried two knives , up until now my attitude has been my Surge will do it , no matter what comes along .
It has really done some work this week , the blade didn't have any patina on Monday
Hey, I had it and another one custom made by a leather guy on www.bushcraftuk.com called angst! He also did a belt, belt box, wrist brace, coin purses and patches in exchange for a gun of mine.
Top guy and really knows his stuff. The pouches have metal belt clips on the rear and that large one also has room for a cord to neck hang!
Yesterday I posted a thread asking for advice for a new small knife. I ended up purchasing a new GEC 06 Pemberton, as I already own several Peanuts and a Baby Butterbean.
One person who responded suggested I look at vintage Schrades. I already owned one. Just wasn't happy with it. So I decided to take it out again, clean it up a bit more. It took a half hour, but all three blades are now razor sharp. Yes, there's some pitting on the blades. But the snap is good. No wobble on the blades. The knife was made to last.
So before I went to sleep last night I put an ebay bid on a single blade Old Timer and a single blade Uncle Henry. I guess it was a quiet night on the 'bay, and I won both auctions. These knives appear to be in far better condition than the one in my photo below. And the prices, well, they just couldn't be beat.
Andy, I've gone back and forth between wanting and not wanting a small stockman like your schrade. I think it would be a great companion to my 4" stockman or even great on its own if I wanted a smaller carry. May have to start looking on the bay myself...
For the weekend away from home its going to be these as usual
