What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Just curious ..... why not?

I have a mid-level spinal cord injury and use a wheelchair. Because of the level of my injury I cant feel if I have the knife in my jeans pocket without sticking my hand in. The thought of losing one is always on my mind. What I do carry is a Multi-tool in the sheath on my chair:eek:, Yeah I hate to admit it but the truth is out!
But this dogleg is special to me, and who knows,I might get in the habit more and more:thumbup:

Gotcha. Well that Ulster sure is gorgeous.

Fine pocket worn bone on that Ulster, Ken:thumbup:

Pocket-worning some bone from Kerry on a Teardrop today.

this thread is so great that I prescribed myself not to read more than ten pages a day. actually doesn't work that good.
Great pictures, informations and stories, everybody.

As I had to get rid off a whole lot of cardboard and a closet this afternoon, I packed the Othello Anton Wingen JR.
The Case Sway Back Gent has been with me since I have it, three weeks now. Great little blade. Klein slip-joint pliers are a hefty must.

Got me a newly aquired Case 6332, late 60's vintage I'm told. Love that old Case jigged red bone. Its a new favorite. Texasflyfisher has great photos already of basically the same thing but I'll have to get some myself in the sun!

Not sure if this counts, but today was a little bit of traditional and modern.

Off work and used the morning to clean up some branches from the yard. And wouldn't you know it, I pounded on the Izula all morning without incident, but when I took it out of the sheath to take this picture, it bit me.

Tomorrow it'll be back to my Queen canoe.

As the Sway Back Gent kind of perished in the above posted picture, here it is again. great little knife which was used today for cutting an onion into really thin slices and to cut some tulips which I brought home. No need today for using a larger blade.

Ken - Have you tried one of these?

Scroll down, there are several grades (and price ranges). I use one regularly, and it holds the knife securely, so there is no fear of losing it. They are good for slimmer knives like a stockman or small toothpick.

Damn that's a sweet looking knife, ots 15. As is the fixed blade you posted a bit earlier. Gorgeous.
