Its important to remember. Very gracious of you to share some memories of your friend that way with us here.

(Throwing a GEC Harness Jack in my pocket today)

That's a very fine CASE to be carrying Anthony, real homage to your friend, his spirit will be honoured:thumbup:

Today has been idle, so for the evening walk it will be a Böker Congress in Redbone/carbon. First rate quality for not much cash.

After owning it for 5+ years, I finally carried a stag handled large Copperlock. I used it to cut up the meat at lunch. It's a nice knife and pretty too. Has SS blades instead of the CV blades. Copperlocks are difficult to find with CV. I missed an opportunity to get a mini Copperlock with yellow scales and CV blades on eBay a couple weeks ago. Win a few, lose a few.

Don't know if you guys have been following what's going on in Nashville, but this city is a mess. Been chainsawin trees all day...worn out. And a big job calls for a big knife...T Bose 4.5 BP

Campbell,

I've been stay'n in touch with my pal Jeb up in the foothills near Nashville regarding the flooding but honestly did no know how seriously bad the water had risen in some parts..

Many Prayers and much smoke being sent at this time!!.

Take care Campbell. I have a cousin with a farm between Memphis and N'ville and the crops are pretty much wiped out for the year. My folks and others in Chattaboogie are battening down the hatches.

Anthony, I am sorry for your loss. I still carry a knife from my best friend who died 7 years ago.

Sorry for the loss of your friend Anthony. Its easy to be a little selfish at times like this.

What a great combination you were carrying. I really like that sheath. Any chance you have one to match for a pistol ? That would really be a sweet combo

Great pics Campbell. I had no idea that it was like that back there. I guess I should follow the news a little closer

Thanks Mike. Jose was one-of-a-kind!. And he was a very capable vaquero as well as one of the nicest fellows you'll ever meet!

As far as the leather-guy, I had a deal going with the fellow who produced this leather for an older Colt hip holster and a Winchester # 94 as well back in the middle of 2008, but that's when the SHTF for me, so the deal fell apart. Oh well, perhaps some day soon..

Freedom,

I like your Friction Folder and I have a cat that looks just like yours in the avatar, with smaller ears though. :)

I hope cnas122 and all my other SE folks are well! God had great mercy on all of us here in Columbia. Prayers continue for all those effected!!

Sorry for your loss, sunnyd. :(

Today, as each day since I've received it, I've got my BFC SFO 2009 Barlow. This one's really a great piece.

My condolences Anthony. Reading some of your posts it seams that your friend had the blessing to live a life he liked and made good friends on the way.

This can be a good time to post here again about what knife I carry today or this year and mabyeand hopefully for many years to come as it was Anthony that sent me the Case CV medium stockman I have had for one year now and at least carried for 350 days. Often together with a yellow cv sodbuster jr. This is what can be found in my pockets today also.
Thank you sunnyd for giving me this oportunity to carry such a knife. More than a few days in the mooseforest or in the mountains fishing I have also carried my case trapper, I dislike to carry that pattern as its so big but I love to use it for the same reason.

the Boker whittler with C-75 blades is new, the Carbon steel Opinel #12 is customized (saw, file and sandpaper) and has now a blade length of around 3,34''.
both work really fine.

For the past couple if days it's been a Buck 307, today it'll be a watch pocket carry GEC #25 Wharncliff Barlow in Stag.

I see you've been busy chainsawing and working hard, but how is your situation in Nashville? How'd you make out? Your car, home, land, family? Everything ok?

I am not sure which I like more your modified Opinel or that Rotoring 600. Being a draftsman I have a love of mechanical pencils.:D
