Ouch,
Sorry for the glare.

New change up on the cutters starting today, although I did break them out yesterday afternoon and put a razor sharp hair pop'n edge on both of these last night while enjoying the last several hours of the Fathers Day evening with my family..

When I posted this picture a while back, Jackknife suggested the following:

What you need Peter, is one of those belt sheaths we had in the army. All the como people had one, it held a pair of pliers or linemans snips and a TL-29.

As for what I'm carrying today; My ever present classic in keyring sheath, my yella peanut in pocket with the Sears 4-way screwdriver and P-38 on my keeyring.

Multi-tools? We don't need any steenking multi-tools! we're traditionalists!

A CS-34 pouch I fished out of the bay arrived yesterday, So today I am carrying it.

I replaced the old really worn out pliers with a fairly new pair of Knippex.

There was no knife in the auction, so I added an Imperial.

Thanks a lot for your recommendation Jackknife.

Sorry that I post again so soon, but today I carry a bunch of stuff my granddad would have carried and used.
The sharpening stone and the brace are old tools from my granddad, that are only in the picture for show.

If you read this thread, you know why I carry this today.

I was thinking the very same thing, Riley. Electrical tape, pencil, paper clips, plastic bag.... what else is in that little tin? I DEFINITELY want to make a folksy little tin like that. Might come in handy sometime.

I also like the candy tin idea. While I was working on the house today the idea crossed my mind to maybe do something similiar using a Skoal can.
Today I carried my 35 year old Case 6233. The little fella did everything I needed it to do.

When I unpacked it to take the photo, I was surprised how much I could fit in the tin.

There is electrical tape,
paper 'n pencil,
heavy gauge wire,
thin steel cable,
a razor blade and a utility blade,
an allen wrench,
1/8" double side drill bit,
a few double point tacks (there are some missing, cause I used them),
some random screws and nails,
two safety pins,
a cheap homemade fishing kit ( just some hooks, lead, and line),
some strike anywhere matches,
sewing thread and needle,
Paper clips,
some rubber bands,
a keyring,
two bolts, washers, and nuts.

Barehead Slimline Trapper, Peanut. Both CV, both yellow delrin. Just a good little combo. Whittled with the pen blade on the Peanut, then cut up the short rib at dinner with the clip on the same knife. Little scalpel -- I just have to remember to always use it like one, because when I forget and try to use it like the bigger knives it cuts like, it ends up biting me.

Trapper never does that...

I've got a candy tin set aside to play with, putting little things to get me through the day in it. Could carry some pain pills, my daily doses of other meds, a bit of candy, couple of nails, little screwdriver disk, etc. Interesting idea, and very practical.
