First day carrying this one and so far I really, really like it. Simple, but classy and oh so slim. :) Hope everyone is having a good day.

Had this buck 102 WELL over a decade, got it just after I graduated highschool and the gun store I found it at said he'd had it quite a while and forgot he had it. Great knife thats within legal specs for ID/WA.

Also old faithful:

Do they have blade length restrictions for a sheath knife in Idaho and Washington?
Nice old Buck, by the way. :)

ID its 4" concealed (none for open) and WA there is no statute for length other than I was advised to keep it on my belt openly (fixed blades concealed can be construed as a dirk by some officers, which is illegal)...its nice up here though, my knives get a good work out in the woods. Can't wait to use it harvesting berries in the coming months, found HUGE patches of wild strawberries but they're not ripe yet.

I am playing it safe with the law since getting up here, ID most everything is ok but WA is fuzzy with statutes so you gotta cover your 6. :)

Thanks for the heads up. The reason I ask is because I like both of those states. I have a buddy in Idaho that keeps trying to get me to move up there. I am very tempted.

If you end up in north ID hit me up, it is very nice up here! job market is competitive and utilizes staffing agencies a lot but for anyone that loves the woods, using their knives outdoors and a more traditional life its definitely the place here.

Ive always liked Svord knives and have owned at least one ever since they became available on the local market in New Zealand many years ago .
I bought this one a while ago to use as a project to either make new handle scales or make a fixed blade out of it .
I must get my act together and start the process .
