Snowing heavy right now, Jerry Halfrich Hidalgo front lock with me today. Exquisitely done pins by a true craftsman.

There goes the flowers and veggies, cold last night and not much better today. It is really heavy on the flowered bushes.

Today I've got my new Radio Jack courtesy of Markesharp's giveaway, love this thing. Also totin' my trusty Glownose. This might very well be my new favorite combo.

The Hidalgo is a joy to see, Kris

Sorry about the snow and veggies. I guess the only consolation is it looks like the dogs are diggin it.

Thanks Gev, Conner and Cleo LOVE the snow but not so much for the hot summer sun, which we will have plenty of in the coming months. Worst thing for me is the hot peppers, not liking the cold and snow. I always enjoy your pics and words, even though I don't always speak up.

Gardening in the northern Rockies certainly isn't easy. I've all but given up on things like tomoatoes and peppers until I can get a greenhouse built. Sounds like we have a chance of snow tonight here in eastern ID as well...

Now you have me thinking "How deep is that Texas rabbit hole?" You must have dug really deep to uncover this beauty.

This one has to be my favorite of yours and that is saying a lot! Love the gray steel, long pull, nifty swedge, bone color, nice full blades, well everything.

Just WOW!! - and all that bokeh from a 200mm lens.? ;) I had thought of using my 300mm on some of my knives and it has been mounted on my other SLR for the past few weeks. I was trying to find the right perch and location. I reckon you have now "pushed me over the edge" and the perch and location will be found sooner than later. Since my rabbit hole is getting a bit close to empty - I now see we can play a whole new game! :D :D

Oh - and fantastic photo too !!

I´m heading out to BBQ in a couple of minutes. Gonna carry my #73 ebony Northfield. I was climbing like an ape the whole day on the frameworks in front of my house - a modern one-hander was the knife I carried during the day...

... glad to swap over to a traditional :)

Yes..its a 55 -300mm lens f 4.5-5.6 Nikon. It really has become a go to lens for everything. The perch was out at a stream and it was about 40 ft in the background. Its my secret spot.
