What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Gev and Will, thanks for the kind words, I was very fortunate to get that "second" :) The blade isn't as shiny anymore;)

Jack, nice photo of that little 221  I love the looks of that knife but fear it would be a tad shy, size wise, for my increasingly clumsy hands.

Those Alox SAKs are starting to appeal to me. Clean, simple, elegant. Might have to start hunting for one ;)

I can't seem to get the Alox soldier out of my pocket. It's been almost 5 years. Been using this pair for a bit.

I know i am a bit weird but i never quite understood carrying two knives of the same or very similar sizes, just strikes me as redundant and unnecessary weight. That being said, carrying multiple knives DOES make perfect sense to me, just makes more sense (TO ME) to have different knives for different tasks and i just cant seem to kick the wenger SI out of my pocket, just too handy with the tools! Although i am considering swapping the SI for a farmer, you know, just cause the saw is cool

therefore here is my summer carry...i sweat alot and working in a warehouse in august with no air conditioning..yeah i rust knives even if i dont take them out of my pocket at all during the day.

so these are mu summer knives :D

I hardly ever "break the seal" on a brand spanking new one, but I could not resist this beauty in my absolute favorite GEC pattern. Great in every way, a #66 Serpentine Jack.

Hey Simple Man, that is a beauty. I really like the different shades of color on the bone and the jigging is really nice as well.

Here's a better one in the light, shows the bone better. With a name like "Purple Sage" I was afraid it would be a bit Barneryish, but it is great with little to no "Purple". Looks deep red to brownish to me

I was JUST looking at that very knife...what a beauty:thumbup:

I consider a "true" wharncliffe to have a consistent arc from tang to point. That doesn't make the others "false," but ... different.

Thanks for the quick tutorial/pictorial on Wharncliffe vs Lambcliffe.
I have one of those Case wharncliffe (wannabe). A single blade mini-trapper. My personal preference is either a straightforward sheepsfoot or a wharncliffe like on the #26. Next would be a #57 Geppetto Whittler.

(Gratuitous image attempting to capture some of the shiny ice in my Tacky Tango:)

Love the covers on your Tacky Tango. And that guitar shield is very unusual
