What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I just grabbed a black SAK Alox Cadet from Target today on a whim...I finally get the appeal of this knife. I can't believe how slim it is, it's a good 1/3 thinner than my single blade GEC #15 and it has many more functions. I see why everyone loves this knife now, what a great buy for under $30.

Yes, another convert! They are excellent little knives and a great value for sure.

This 33 Conductor has been in my pocket since it arrived yesterday - a beautiful Gabon Ebony gift from one of our brothers here on the forum... "bearsquared" - many sincere THANKS to you Rupert! :)

Wow, such a great knife. Awesome pictures also.
Gorgeous.

Here is "our" carry today. My daughter's Moonpie knife (keychain tool) - a very generous gift from ALLHSS - and my peanut (which she has claimed as her own as soon as she is old enough).

and now after the Moonpie knife is out of the package - she's just a little bit excited!

Thanks for making her one happy little girl, Logan!
I'm really glad she likes it!

I've been carrying my new Vic Farmer. I think you all know what a Victorinox Alox Farmer looks like, haha. Thinking about having a file and scissors added.

I've found myself quite taken with this little Norfolk. It's keeping me company today while I monitor the temperature on my smoker. Brisket for dinner tonight :)

Very nice! Have ye managed to get the secondary blade open, yet? Those #26s can be a challenge.

I have a Tacky Tango with the same blade combination; I especially like the proportions of the (true) wharncliffe on this one.

The Owl and the Pussy Cat.

Where's the sea green boat?

Close; pea-green boat.

(I knows my owls and my pussycats.)

Great pic, bearsquared.

Front Radio Jack again today, with its inspirations close by.

Those Alox SAKs are starting to appeal to me. Clean, simple, elegant. Might have to start hunting for one ;)

Thanks Sarah. Happily the pull on my coping blade is manageable. Not light by any means but definitely not a nailbreaker. But you're right about the #26s being tricky. I had to lightly oil and exercise the main blade a little to get it to do what I wanted. Thankfully, that wharncliffe shape provides plenty of purchase to pinch open.
Please educate me as to what a false wharncliffe blade might be:confused: :)
