The last month it has been this guy without interruption

Well there was 3 days I had no knife while travelling. Now I am back home and left my knife with my tools. This one has taken its place in the meantime ;)

I wanna be the one
I wanna make you shine in the Sun
I wanna knit you a sweater
Write you a love letter
I wanna be the one you want to see
I wanna make you feel free

Will - that's a terrific looking old Laguiole that just oozes character. Very nice.

Jack - nice ebony pairing today. Happy to see you getting some use out of the Case Teardrop.

Old Hunter - very nice photo and the 303 is such a wonderful pattern and yours is a beautiful example.

Bloefield - nicely photographed 80T.

Smithhammer - I can see why you'd carry that one again today. Beautiful!

Markesharp - that's a really interesting KK Barlow. I'd also be interested to know if the handles are original to the knife. Great looking knife!

Simple Man - the Cadet is always a great choice. Nicely photographed too.

Slide13 - lovely photograph. Love the black Pioneer and the wrist watch too.

gmarthur - beautiful scales on your XX.

ALLHSS - congrats on picking up that jewel!

philllll - very handsome and unique knife.

Andi - great choice today. I like everything about that Boker.

Gary - beautiful photograph of your Cadet.

rockgolfer - well I suppose your Oeser will do as an acceptable substitute knife in a pinch. ;)

Jeff - very nice looking Eureka.

I'm carrying a new to me, old Schrade Cut. Co. today.

Interesting, thanks for the info. My Bucks are all stamped Buck so I assume they're not contract ones? My 309 sawn delrin has stainless pins not brass.

Regards, W

FWIW, even the contract ones are stamped Buck.

I'm no 300bucks, but as far as I know the silhouette of Idaho on the pen blade of your 309 means it was made in the year they moved the factory to Idaho (2005), so it's probably not contract. Mine is a 2010. Maybe they updated the tooling in the intervening years, or maybe they did something a little special for the moving-year, to account for the slight change in blade-shape?

I have a soft spot for black delrin 30x Bucks -- I remember Dad carrying a 309 or 303 when I was a kid. My uncle gave me his 1986 303 when I was in high school, and it's still one of my lil' treasures. (Personally, the 420HC on the new ones gives me a heck of a time to get sharp, compared to whatever it was they used in the 80's. One of these days I'll run into a user-grade 309 in the old steel and I'll jump on it like a cat after a laser pointer. :))

Really enjoying this Case slimline trapper in Cv. Fit and finish is pretty good and I really love the blade geometry, its deep red scales and extremely pointy tip. What a sweet little knife! uploadfromtaptalk1407518665504.jpg
