What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today's choice.

Goes to show it always pays to be helpful to neighbors eh Landon? That's a very nice knife. Is that a crown lifter built into the blade or just part of the locking system? Nice white covers too!

It is part of the locking system. I doubt I have any bottle tops small enough to use that lifter style tang. The covers were glossy and plastered with a screen printed logo, but now they have a nice even satin look. I am going to have to work on the blade finish.

Also in the case was a new in packaging Schrade Minute Man. A nice and interesting piece as well.

Just got these two today. My first two Case knives and I'm already pleased.
First I convexed all three blades and put my preferred lubricant (coconut oil) on them.
After polishing the blosters on the peanut I couldn't be happier.

Love that Remington, Primble!!

I'm kind of attached to my Eureka Jack these days...

Today it's my chestnut sawcut bone Stew's Blade and my Tuna Valley Gunstock. I absolutely love the Stew's Blade (duh.. ;) ), but the Tuna Valley leaves me a little underwhelmed for the price. Oh well, sometimes you win, sometimes not so much...

This just arrived today so I'm playing around with it. Northwoods Burnside Jack with primitive bone covers.

I can see why...A River Runs Through It!

On those fine summer days as the Sun was setting and the valley grew slightly darker, the shimmer on the water quivering and pleasing, my mind stood still, lost in the moment. I could hear the rushing water against the rocks, the gentle warm breeze against my cheek and brow, and the feeling of my favorite pocketknife against my palm and thumb. And as the sun swung through its final arc of heaven and the valley became not one, but many valleys, deepening from a red to a flamingo pink and at last to deep blue velvet... I felt spilling over me a serene acceptance of all that is...An intense feeling of the divine smile in my heart ...and I knew.... a river....

Very nice Linus. I must add some primitive bone to my collection eventually. I am lacking! :D

Thanks Landon. Those primitive bone covers makes everything else I have at the moment pale in comparison! Can't believe I waited so long before finding out about them. The blue camel bone on your Hawthorne is brilliant too. I might have to look for something with THAT :D
