What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ringo or Joe Cocker? :D Lovely photograph and knives!

In my mind I heard the Beatles but Joe rocks out and I love his version too!! Thanks, Stephen! So many fine knives today!! Ditto to all your sentiments today, my friend.
The knives are from Paul Hilborn and man o man are they sharp! Thanks again. Paul!

Thanks Stephen! The buckaroo is a great knife, I love the blood wood. It has such depth in person, very rich. GEC needs to use it more often. That Camillus you have looks to be a fancier version of my scout knife. I love the blade combo and the little clip point knife is a great user blade

Old & In The Way I'm carrying this Camillus 72 today. [IMG said:

That is one sweet whittler Stephen. I like everything about it.

I messed up the image :o

A great duo you have there!

I love my Farmer...

I'm carrying this Camillus 72 today.
That 72 is a real looker Stephen and photographed nicely. I need to carry mine more often!:)

Anxiously waiting for 5:00 on this fine Friday!!!
Very nice photo - it is a short wait now!

Oh.... I get by with a little help from my friends:D

Gevo,

That old Mechanic's Special is indeed special - that was very nice of Paul.:thumbup:

One of those coins was minted the same year I was minted - I wonder if you can guess which? ;):D

I like the coins and the Opinel is nice too - I see that I/we are not going to shame you into throwing those poor old Cicada carcasses in the dumpster. :foot::D:D

mr_badexample - very nice picture of a great knife!

Captain Rsmith_77,

Your merciless efforts to convert us Peanut guys with pics like that just aren't fair! I'm gonna crumble if this keeps up! lol

I already love Amber bone...

hehe well, just think of a texas jack as a peanut, you know for men
or women with larger than child sized hands :D :)

This #66 still, I kinda miss carrying an "old" knife, but it is going to be hard to leave this one at the house for a while I believe.

Sarah - I love your Scout. Is there an emoticon for envy? ;)

Thanks! I do, too. I confess to feeling a little boasty when I post it, but it really is what I am carrying around today.

Oh, man. Your pictures have me rethinking my choice(s), even though I got to see the various options together in person before deciding on the Blackwood. Beautiful knife, there.

[I'm happy with the Blackwood, and had a lot of fun picking it out; it would have been a harder decision if I'd 'seen' the chestnut through your eyes/lens.]

Have I mentioned recently that you have excellent taste in knives? Especially since you often seem to take pictures of mine. ;)

Boy howdy, am I glad I jumped on a similar light ebony #15 while at GEC, a latecomer/returnee to the factory inventory. Otherwise, I'd be kicking myself 'round about now, seeing your picture.

I still regret not picking up a Hershey Bar Scout when I was there last year (the #15 double-bladed sheepsfoot Boy's Knife in ebony), all the more after now enjoying the Radio Scout (same frame, same main blade with easy-open notch).

This year, I sought to minimize potential regrets. :D

The first day carrying my precious Boker without the nylon pouch, I dropped it on its end and the shield went flying. I carefully glued it back on with the first glue I found, a white epoxy putty, and managed to get it on upside down, or almost. Not perfectly upside down, of course. And naturally the epoxy shows around the shield. So the beauty queen is become a scarred amazon at last.
