What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today it's the #66 Calf Roper and Alox Farmer (yes the Peanut too, needless to say!). The SAK is becoming an ever-growing fascination to me!

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all have a great one. I'm planning on a lazy day, followed by grilling up some steaks and lobster tails and having a few with a buddy in from out of town tonight.

Paul - Congrats on acquiring the 303! It's a terrific pattern and I hope that you really enjoy it.

I'm carrying this OVB Eureka Jack today. I've been lusting after a JBF Champlin Eureka Jack in Rosewood since they came out but haven't had any luck tracking one down yet. But I did manage to acquire its grandpa. :D I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Love the lines on that knife Kris, really stunning craftsmanship as well.

Thanks Jerry, I would have to agree:)

Carrying a dogleg jack with nice thick mammoth covers and 154cm by Rick Menefee and a Loveless style drop point in gorgeous Koa, with damascus forged by Randy Haas Jr, from Tim Steingass. Sheath with elephant inlay by the talented Claude Scott.

Simply THE best Old Knife I've seen here in a long time and a lot of looking:D

What a find, and in such pleasant condition, no pimping or riding on the buffer there just a lifetime of appreciation & respect. What more can a knife ask for? Thank you for showing it, really beautiful.:thumbup:

Best regards, Will

This #66 still, I kinda miss carrying an "old" knife, but it is going to be hard to leave this one at the house for a while I believe.
Love that 66. Great knives. The color on yours is outstanding.

I love this GEC #47 Hay'n Hauler with the single sheepsfoot blade. Finally got a GEC with single blade sheepsfoot! Finally! I was starting to wander if they really existed. Oh, and yes... Oeser Cross Dogleg is still my favorite. But I will use the GEC way more! A good worker.

Love the ALOX as well...

Not to take anything away from your newly acquired GEC which is fantastic, but that Oeser is possibly my favorite.

Glad to know the farmer is serving you well. You wear orange well!

Old & In The Way - beautiful carry today and thanks for the compliment about my Case XX yesterday.

Primble - Thanks. Everything is good here in NC!

How are you liking that one? Mine should be here next week and the suspense is killing me :)

This is my second Viper (the other is in ebony, from the first run) and first stainless GEC knife. They're both almost perfectly made knives and this is one of my favorite traditional patterns, in this size (any smalller wouldn't work as well, for me). I like the fact that it's easily pinchable, even with gloves. Makes for a very capable and handy work knife.

Great knives folks!

Scagel Fruitport Wharncliffe for me today.
