What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I bought this GEC ebony 92 a few months ago and put it away unused. I was actually pulling it out today to put it up for sale since I wasn't using it but after handling it, I don't know why I put it away in the first place. I sharpened it up and carried it today. The patina is already starting as a result of helping make lunch. I think this is going to replace the Buck 501 I rehandled in ebony as my primary carry.

Getting the coals ready for beer can chicken, Doc Hagen Lanny's Clip found its way into my pocket this afternoon. Having my mother in law over for dinner tonight, as my father in law is in the ICU after a horrible infection after he had two vertebrae's fused. He lost his arm in the Vietnam War and has suffered complications from it till this day.

This #73 just feels like it was made to fit my hand...

Primble , they are all beauties in their unique ways, hard to pick, that Diamond Edge Barlow does have some lovely character to it! Then again, some of the prettiest knives do seem to be a little bit camera shy, that Schrade is no slouch, but then there is that great looking shield on the Utica, and the oh so sweet bolster caps of the IXL and its elegant blade selection...could keep a fella up nights pondering between them :D It is a pleasure just to view them all in one post my friend

Went for my walk and mowed the lawn, cleaned up and just decided on this pair for the evening...gonna sit back and watch the Colts/Broncos game this evening;)

Yes they told us that today was only its second day back in service after a major overhaul. It's a good looking engine.

Last time I saw it running was in the early 70's in the green livery of Southern's passenger engines. My grandfather was a railroader for 50 years, 1912-1962, most of it as an engineer. It's in the blood :)

WOW Paul - that is a great great pair - wonderful photo too - thanks for the heads up on the game - I plan to watch.

Thank you everyone for the help on my knife dilemma - I think that I found a better solution, one that will me allow me to be stingy and keep my cherished old knives. At the same time, the find will enable me to send out a fine old knife, which I purchased today, after many hours of scouring the net. The one I found might be liked by anyone, from new collector to legend collector. ;)
