What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

[

I have my pockets full today, trying to decide which one of these special to me old knives gets put out to pasture. Which one would be your pick - to receive?

IXL:

Schrade Cut. Co. - this one does not like it's picture taken - it is way more beautiful in person:

If it were me, I'd definitely be holding on to that IXL (love the tip bolsters, handle and shield), or the Utica (long pull, easy open - yep, yep, yep), or the diamond edge (awesome scales and the blades are just stunning), or the Schrade (easy open and love the shield). Yeah, I'd be holding on to them all. Beautiful each one. Glad I don't have to decide - I'd be sweating bullets!

That Diamond Edge Barlow is beautiful.

Jim

Thank you Jim. :)

:thumbup::D:D:D I was kind of sweating bullets Jennifer - and then I found what I hope to be the perfect solution.:rolleyes:;):)

Went for my walk and mowed the lawn, cleaned up and just decided on this pair for the evening...gonna sit back and watch the Colts/Broncos game this evening;)

Love the Bladeforums Bullet Jack... it looks like it was from 2011, just before I joined here--sure with I was around for that one! Very nice!

I hope everyone has a good Sunday. I'm carrying this Ulster today.
And a beautiful one it is.

Very nice!

Decided to go small today for church. Went with the Schrade Cut Co Walden NY.
Hope you all have a great Sunday.
Great choice. Sometimes you just need to go small! Beautiful.

Love that knife. Hope it pops up again soon!

Been a very beautiful week-end here, not much more of summer left in Scandiland but this was warm & sunny. Just right for gathering fruit, walking across harvested fields, watching birds (an Eagle amongst others) and checking the woodlands. A simple inexpensive puukko seemed just right, sharpens so well this one.

Best wishes to all, Will
I bet that puukko handled everything. Great fixed blade for your outing.

Took my sons out to the rail festival today. Figured the 33 conductor would be fitting for the occasion.
Awesome pics. How old are your sons? My son, now 3, would have gone crazy to be there. Funny how boys seem to just love trains.

Love these GEC's today! And the Oeser of course!
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You have great knives. You make us all a wee big jealous. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ;). Seriously, more great pics of great knives today.

Missouri Trader, Burnt Stag:D
Now I want one of these, too. Great pic. Very nice knife.

 Always enjoy the pics.

Both knives look like perfect companions for some football. If I might ask, and apologies if I missed it in an earlier post, but what is the fixed blade? Thanks.

Ok, let me know when and where the yard sale will be! Glad the dilemma won't keep you awake tonight. Bet you're tired from petting all those new toys! :D

@ Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer, the lil fixed blade is a kit knife offered by Blink Horse Knives back when they were in business.

I really like it's size and the Natural Linen Micarta covers. I carry it back pocket in a leather pocket sheath by KSF. It is D2 and takes a very keen edge. I didn't make the kit knife I actually bought it from a great forum member that assembled it himself...I think he did an awesome job:thumbup::)

Thanks for the info. Looks very useful and those Natural Linen Micarta covers are superb. I would agree - whoever assembled that knife did a great job. Thanks again for the info.

Nice choice and I bet the kids had a fine day - that old Southern looks fantastic!!!

Reminds me of years past, when my son used to beg me to take him to watch the trains.:)
