What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Primble for the compliment.

If I was to put one to pasture it would probably be the IXL. Now, if I were to receive one, it would be the Schrade Cut Co. That is a beauty. It would be a hard choice though honestly. They all are wonderful.

Woodrow - that Peanut turned out wonderfully!
Brett - nice Schrade!!
Pertinux - beautiful and classic looking knife!

I have my pockets full today, trying to decide which one of these special to me old knives gets put out to pasture. Which one would be your pick - to receive?

"Oh poor me, I have too many beautiful knives." :p

That's a hard one. I guess you already have quite a few Barlows.

Andi, your Cattaraugus is a beauty as is Brett's Schrade Cut Co.:thumbup:

Primble, all four are just tremendous and I can't contemplate putting any of them out to pasture, but my favorite of the four would be the Utica, but only by a whisker. :)

Been a very beautiful week-end here, not much more of summer left in Scandiland but this was warm & sunny. Just right for gathering fruit, walking across harvested fields, watching birds (an Eagle amongst others) and checking the woodlands. A simple inexpensive puukko seemed just right, sharpens so well this one.

Best wishes to all, Will

Those are all fine old beauties Primble! Don't think i could put any of them out to pasture. The old Wostenholm is really classy looking, and the old Shapleigh barlow looks like a fine old workhorse.

I had to stare at that knife. Very nice

A great combo has been seeing a lot of love recently, and for awhile methinks. The beloved peanut and radio knife. The radio knife kicked the Vic pioneer out of my pocket and into my day pack where it usually rides. I have been carrying a lot of stainless steel this summer, I must have missed carbon, because these two have found there way back into rotation. Maybe I'm just ready for cooler weather...

That utica is fantastic. They are all great, but the utica takes the cake in my opinion.
Here is mine for the day. I was cutting veggies for home made relish. It worked great.

W.M.B. - very nice carry choice today. Who's the maker?

pistonsandgears and Todd Isa 53 - beautiful photos from both of you.

Frizzen frazzin!!!!!! First, it was the oil, then it was the gas, then it was the carb...... I've fixed all these things on the Yamaha.... I even drove it around today. Only problem, the clutch is sticking!!!!! Like, put it in gear and the bike is either moving or stalling. It's like there is no clutch. It's not the cable either. I'm guessing the clutch plates are stuck together from all that gas that drained into the crank case. Looks like I'll be working on this for the next couple of days/nights.
