Today (this whole week so far, actually) I'm carrying my factory 2nd TC Barlow:
It didn't really come through in the picture, but the bolsters on this one are developing an interesting greyish patina. It really is aging handsomely, in my opinion.
Never before revealed angle of my grail!

So many beauties today...just enjoyed the journey everyone!!
Something about this old Keener that makes me feel good.

I started the training for my new job today, and decided on this gentlemanly Gerber #300A lockback in black lip pearl.

Nice choice. Just enough that it won't scare them away or make the new guy look like a psycho. Good luck with your new job.
Always nice Gev, I love the leather pouch for your pocket watch also:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Terrific photo Gev! Seeing your old Keen Kutter makes me feel good too.
Stephen"Old and In the Way" Great name by the way. Not sure it is true. While we still have breath in our lungs, God has a plan for us to accomplish... Never too old or in the way.Wow! I love that blade and the picture really lets me see the blade fully! Great another knife to add to the "want" list! Ha
Thank you very much, Stephen!! I was thinking to myself is that Northfield old? and why is it a favorite over all those beauties you have? It is a beauty so I see why...just wondering
Not sure that I can really explain it. To me, there's something simple and classic, yet also very elegant about it. It's one of the best made modern production knives that I own. It is also a pattern that I spent a fair amount of time looking for, and then one day found for sale at a marked down price - and I always love a bargain.Ebony scales, spearpoints, and long pulls are also among my favorite things. It might not be the nicest, and certainly isn't the rarest or most expensive knife that I own, but it never fails to make me smile when I pull it out of my pocket.

I'm still carrying my #15 Boy's knife at work but had to buy this stockman so I don't completely ruin a nice bone one and cant stand a gas station special or one of those flip open style razor blades. My new job is pretty messy as I work around epoxies, paint and a host of other knife destroying goodness. I took this picture after using it at work for only a few days, it might not look that bad but so far it has a pretty good layer of goo accumulating all over. I even cleaned it with acetone at the end of the day. I'm pretty interested how this knife is gonna hold up. Hopefully I can remember to take more pics as this knife's relentless beating progresses.
