What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Jone,

Funny as always. Love the knife as well!

Why not another shot for you all:

Ok enough with pics already. You're causing me to be envious now! :D But I can't wait to see more tomorrow.

Primble - for you, I could sew those pants. But here is the deal - you would have to wear them and model them for pics here on the forum fully loaded with your beautiful Charlows.

Today's chores included working in the yard. What better to accomplish any task?

I suppose that conditional lets you off the hook - besides - I would have to find steel suspenders! Very nice carry and picture today!!:D

Today (this whole week so far, actually) I'm carrying my factory 2nd TC Barlow:
It didn't really come through in the picture, but the bolsters on this one are developing an interesting greyish patina. It really is aging handsomely, in my opinion.

Yes - I can see it - it looks nice.:)

Best shot yet Todd, IMO !!:eek::D

Your Barlow is striking!

I had a similar thought when I when I left this morning although a much plainer model, paired with my new favorite Farmer.

Thank you. It looks really nice in person. I am getting really into the new traditionals. I have had two SAK for years. I have never tried an Alox. I have been considering the Farmer. It seems to have a good combination of useful tools.

So many beauties today...just enjoyed the journey everyone!!

Something about this old Keener that makes me feel good.

Hello!

Gorgeous knives, everyone! Always fun to watch!

Today, I had the middle one of these three with me (another variant of THE local folder pattern, the Trattenbacher Taschenfeitl, dating back to medieval times). Very crude and simple knives, but sometimes this can be fun too. ;)

I started the training for my new job today, and decided on this gentlemanly Gerber #300A lockback in black lip pearl.

Nice choice. Just enough that it won't scare them away or make the new guy look like a psycho. Good luck with your new job.

Of course he will make them jealous! Great knife. Good luck with training, Jeff.

Always nice Gev, I love the leather pouch for your pocket watch also:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks, Paul!! It was a late night prototype. It will do just fine for a multitasking 30 minute diversion:D

Your "Lil Muck" is just super fine. I love all your little fixed blades. You have me wanting,

I'm still carrying my #15 Boy's knife at work but had to buy this stockman so I don't completely ruin a nice bone one and cant stand a gas station special or one of those flip open style razor blades. My new job is pretty messy as I work around epoxies, paint and a host of other knife destroying goodness. I took this picture after using it at work for only a few days, it might not look that bad but so far it has a pretty good layer of goo accumulating all over. I even cleaned it with acetone at the end of the day. I'm pretty interested how this knife is gonna hold up. Hopefully I can remember to take more pics as this knife's relentless beating progresses.

Terrific photo Gev! Seeing your old Keen Kutter makes me feel good too.

Thank you very much, Stephen!! I was thinking to myself is that Northfield old? and why is it a favorite over all those beauties you have? It is a beauty so I see why...just wondering

Stephen"Old and In the Way" Great name by the way. Not sure it is true. While we still have breath in our lungs, God has a plan for us to accomplish... Never too old or in the way. :)Wow! I love that blade and the picture really lets me see the blade fully! Great another knife to add to the "want" list! Ha

Todd - Thanks! Your Oeser is fantastic and I never get tired of looking at it. Maybe one day I'll luck into finding one for sale at a price that I can afford. ;) For what it's worth, my user name (Old & In the Way) is both a reference to how I was feeling the day I signed up and also a collaboration band that I really like. Here's a link to Old & In the Way playing Midnight Moonlight back in 1973 if you're interested:

Not sure that I can really explain it. To me, there's something simple and classic, yet also very elegant about it. It's one of the best made modern production knives that I own. It is also a pattern that I spent a fair amount of time looking for, and then one day found for sale at a marked down price - and I always love a bargain. ;) Ebony scales, spearpoints, and long pulls are also among my favorite things. It might not be the nicest, and certainly isn't the rarest or most expensive knife that I own, but it never fails to make me smile when I pull it out of my pocket. :)

Makes perfect sense to me! Great explanation!! Thanks and we think so alike;)

I would enjoy seeing this progression, so please keep us posted on this 3375 as it ages and takes on character. Start a blog on it! :)
