What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

FANTASTIC Ulster Primble:thumbup:

My carry for the day, BHK "Lil Muck" & Red ALOX Farmer in pocket sheath and #66 with Purple Sage Covers in Left Front Pocket;)

Thank you Paul and 3 beauties in your pockets !!:)

No ants in the pants thankfully, just a few in my shoe!

Glad to hear that my friend.:D

Primble, awesome as usual.

Thank you Woodrow - did you dye the canoe the deep red or was it found that way??:)

That knife came out of the box and went straight into a cold cup of coffee. Centers were nice. It was a little light on the edges. Only left it in there a few hours. It's actually still a little light, but the dark light doesn't show it. I'm thinking I'll try some of that oil leather dye mentioned earlier. I love the Corn Cob Jigging; I just wish it looked more like that dark red bone from Case's Days of old. :D

Primble... funny "chewed up by a mouse." Maybe he was hungry for some soup? I know cheesy.

willgoy - I can see why that is a firm favorite.

Stephen - I will echo willgoy's comment. Give us some more info please. Love that equal end. Ooh, I just saw that you posted more. Thanks. And another great choice today! Those large spear blades make me goggly eyed!

mostho - the Case Swayback is an exceptional knife. I've always been a fan of that blue.

oldmanrunning - Great pic of your White Owl. Great pattern to EDC.

Primble - for you, I could sew those pants. But here is the deal - you would have to wear them and model them for pics here on the forum fully loaded with your beautiful Charlows.

Jack Black - Can you tell me more about the first lovely knife in your post today. Can't quite make out the stamp. Thanks.

Todd Isa 53 - This is a family friendly forum - no fighting allowed. I'm sure an number of people here would gladly resolve the issue for you by removing one of those knives from the equation. Primble, don't you need a soup bone???

arizonaranchman - That peanut and stockman make a perfect pair. The patina I can see looks magnificent!

Rsmith_77 - I'll call this the boy scout pic. Be prepared and you are!

Humppa - That is one special barlow.

Today's chores included working in the yard. What better to accomplish any task?

I suppose that conditional lets you off the hook - besides - I would have to find steel suspenders! Very nice carry and picture today!!:D

Yes - I can see it - it looks nice.:)

Best shot yet Todd, IMO !!:eek::D

Todd - Thanks! Your Oeser is fantastic and I never get tired of looking at it. Maybe one day I'll luck into finding one for sale at a price that I can afford. ;) For what it's worth, my user name (Old & In the Way) is both a reference to how I was feeling the day I signed up and also a collaboration band that I really like. Here's a link to Old & In the Way playing Midnight Moonlight back in 1973 if you're interested:

Thank you Jennifer - I will try to find a blades open pic - very nice find on the DE Barlow.:)

Another dye job Woodrow?? - Looking good!:)

Love that knife Phillll - hope you did not get any ants in your britches.:D

Beautiful TC Barlow picture and glad to see you liked the IXL.:)

Two very nice knives there Mark.

Thank you Jack - much appreciated !!

Thank you Todd and a super nice lineup there - except for the all chewed up by a mouse TC Barlow, which you need to mail to me. ;):D:thumbup:

Mark - more information on that stunning reverse gunstock pictured below the '12 forum knife please! It's a real beauty!

Thanks Stephen. I have had a busy day, sorry it took so long to reply. It is a circa 1930 Cattaraugus two blade jack that I just received yesterday. I don't think it was ever sharpened and it is barely used. Feels like a brand new GEC. Thank you.

It is definitely football weather in Michigan today....kinda chilly up here.

Thanks Glennbad for 2012 Forum knife.

When time allows Mark I'd love to see more of the beautiful Gunstock:thumbup: Beautiful covers!!!

What a real beauty, Primble! Did you do anything to the bone yet?

No - that is the way she came and over cleaned, the wrong way. I am working on her now.

Thank you Gevo.:) I will post some after pics when I get her steel and vertical scratches dulled down a bit. The good part is they are shallow.

Looking forward to seeing her is all her former glory!! Work your magic.

Carrying a new to me Charlow. Awesome knife, but I still on the fence whether to keep it or release it back into the wild. I'll give it a few more days.

Genuine Sheepsfoot w Pen
Smooth Ivory

If you ever decide that 15 doesn't fit please let me know I will respectfully give it a good home

Case Copperhead mini that I just got. Interesting little knife. The pro's so far:
- This is really small, smaller than my other knives. This means that it will slip easily in the coin pocket of my jeans. I suspect that you can't notice it yourself when you carry in the side pocket of a suit jacket. I meant this as a gentleman's knife, after all.
- Fit and finish is good, not stellar but good enough.
- Blades are sharp, not shawing though.
- It sure is pretty!
- Main blade has a good walk and talk, slightly gritty but I must clean and oil it anyhow.

Cons:
- This is really small, smaller than I thought. I can get a comfortable three finger grip though.
- The spring of the main wharncliffe blade is a little proud when blade is open, which is really a shame. Not so much as in my slimline trapper, in which it is unacceptable. I kick myself that I did not take the effort to return the knife. With this one I am willing to tolerate it. You have to watch closely to notice it.
- The angle of the pen blade is strange, but the blade still works. It is especially good when cutting with the tip, the angle actually helps in this.
