Nice Primble, nice hawk too

Dropped this old thing in my pocket. Its a Penny Knife from Austria, but I cant for the life of me remember the name of the pattern.

I like that old thing Lemmy.:thumbup::D

This tricksy little barlow and the red nut.

Lookin' fine Woodrow. :thumbup::)

Wow, that image evokes powerful nostalgia in me... I miss my grandpa. He had fine things such as these.

Thank you for the nice comment.:)

I've been away from this thread for a while, lot's of beautiful knives being posted!

GEC #72 for me today.

:thumbup::) Good to see you back too. :)

One of my favorite knives;)

I can see why Paul - I am fond of that one too - an excellent knife to tote! :)

WOW Pete - Nice Charlow and Peanut - you threw me a curve with that post. :D

I have been carrying this #85 quite a bit lately and that has influenced me to acquire some additional Bullet End Jacks.

Oh Yeah Brisket....nice ebony #85. My #85 Cocobolo is my go to knife....I may just declare it my "precious". Such a great pattern.....the ergonomics can't be beat!

That is a beauty Peter. The long pull and the threaded & pinched bolsters really go well with the 85 and Cocobolo is one of my preferred woods. I agree with you on the ergos as this pattern is at the top of my favorite list. I recently acquired a 85 Northfield Harness Jack in Primitive Bone but haven't quite come around to carrying it yet.

Carried the white owl yet again.
today was, well not a good day. Today i had to lay to rest my oldest cat. He was 13 and i've known him since birth. We found out last week that he had cancer and it was pretty aggressive. The vet originally said we may have had 1 - 2 months, but today it became obvious that he was suffering and in pain so the decision was made :/

I did have to use the knife today, I used the white owl to cut his favorite blanket to lay him to rest with, so there is that i suppose ...

anyways, the knife

and my dearly departed feline buddy

Very sorry for your loss - I commend you for ending the suffering - you made the right decision - it still is a hard pill to swallow. Hopefully brighter days ahead, my friend. :)

Putting a furry family member to rest is indeed a tough task, Rsmith_77. Sorry for your loss. A few years ago I lost one of my Pyrenean Mountain dogs to cancer at 5 years old and I still get teary eyed thinking about him.

The White Owl is a fine knife.

Sorry I have been absent lately... family vacation. sometimes you just have to unplug!
Great carry today... getting back in the swing of things.
A new GEC... Yellow Rose (what a beauty to represent a beautiful state)
And a new Lloyd... this thing might be in the top 2 sharpest knives I own. Wow! Everything is perfect on this knife. The CF, the walk and talk, the pull... the custom engraving and don't forget the blade steel 154! Yea baby.
I also had the ole Fremont Jack out.

Sorry for your loss Ryan. It's never an easy thing and the sting of it sticks around. I showed my wife the image of your furry friend and let her read your words, she had tears when she handed my phone back knowing the feelings your having because they are still very close to the surface here also.

Chris

So sorry to read about your loss Ryan, they become such a part of our lives...

I just slipped "old faithful" into my pocket for tomorrows carry, probably for many days to follow as well :)
