my dearly departed feline buddy

Very sorry for the loss of your furry friend Ryan. Just think he's probably already terrorizing all the field mice in the great big fields above.

I just slipped "old faithful" into my pocket for tomorrows carry, probably for many days to follow as well :)

Back to the RJ today, but taking my NAAFI knife as back-up just in case I have to peel a tank or anything ;)

BE PREPARED!:D

The Goldenrod Talon in the left front pocket and one of the newbies in the watch pocket, i intend to pair these two for everyday carry and the Lava Talon with the Northfield Magnum for high days and holidays.

You gave me some ideas with that statement Jack and since I have some HEAVY-DUTY cutting to do today, I am still trying to figure out my carry knife/knives/axe/hatchet/saws today.:rolleyes:

Nice pictures of your knives and I will be back later with my pictures.:)

I have come to realize the #66 Purple Sage Jack is THE perfect knife, that said....sometimes you need more variety than perfect will allow.

So, this German "Forged Steel" brand EO will accompany me for a while.

Hey Simple Man.....

I agree that the #66 (in purple sage) is perfect. I toggle between that and the #85 posted above. Love the EO teardrop above!

I've been eyeing that #66 for a short while. Did you get the one with th pen blade on the opposite end or both blades on the same side?

I think they both look good. I'm not sure how the one with the pen on the opposite end would feel. I see the clip is a little different which I like, but I'm wondering if the pen blade would be easier to access with it on the opposite end.

Yup, I have the brother to Peters. It probably would be a bit more accessible with the blades at either end, but I just prefer Jacks, with the pivot all at together. Really comes down to what you like.

Whetstone, that Barlow looks amazing! There are many incredible knives posted here everyday. But I think your Barlow is my favorite for the week!

I like to carry this el cheapo Camco serpentine jack that I found in almost new condition on the Big River Auction site. The carbon steel blades are starting to take on a nice patina and they take a seriously sharp edge.
