What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Jack - those two knives look good together. I hope you had a good day.

ismaris - very handsome stockman and I think it's great that you've had it for the past 47 years.

Jeff - the MOP Trapper makes for a stylish Sunday carry.

Kirby - good to see you posting again. Welcome back and wonderful photo today.

Phil - beautiful ebony pair.

Ed - I like the Fire & Ice. Lot's of useful blade in that package.

oldtymer - that's a handsome Boker pen knife.

Primble - thank you for the compliment on my Mini Copperhead. And yes, you have seen it before. ;) :D Beautiful EO you're carrying today.

Mark - I hope you made a full recovery. The scales on your RJ are really special.

Brian - A Peanut for the Elephant? Nice.

Paul - thanks for the compliment!

Rickster - I like the red scales. :thumb up:

Grateful - a handsome 15. Best of luck to your Royals tomorrow night.

JW85 - I don't own one, but am a big fan of the Case Swayback.

Nate - is there still such a thing as a 'five and dime'. I remember 'five and dime' stores and then 'dime' stores, but it seems like they're all 'dollar' stores now. Regardless, nice find on the Kent. Very interesting and attractive scales on that one.

jerren - nice peanut and interesting coin.

Ryan - nice pairing. No luck with the Cowboys, but better luck with your Giants.

Pete - nice photos.

Beautiful. Is that stag??? Never seen anything quite like it.

I originally thought it was stag. But after reading up on the subject ( documents/links provided by many member in the Old Knives Thread), I know believe it to be pressed bone made to look like stag by a highly skilled master of old. But....I am still not certain;);)

Been to Angola today. They had a Rodeo and we bought a new double rocker. Couldn't carry the knives in but had them on me otherwise. Enjoying the rocker with some cheap hydration and the Old Red Cross and the Red Bone Corn Cob Peanut.

This is very interesting Gev. The knife is deeply impressive, but I have a suspicion it is stag! Why not put it up in Levine's? There was something similar looking there some years back-can't recall properly- but I seem to remember a discussion about a material like this. It even had a name but.....

I was also thinking about Primble's I*XL he showed with a pouch, that I felt was bone. Of course it doesn't really matter as the knives in question are formidable beauties whatever their handle material.

Thanks, Will

Böker Germany makes a very decent Small Stockman in smooth yellow bone and carbon. People need to look into Böker, they're fantastic value in my experience.

Will, I agree, we don't see enough of boker here. They're fantastic knives and their carbon steel is excellent.

Buck 303 again today, I'm determined to convert myself :)
