Hey, you never know! My wife is slowly turning to our side, after years of listening (or pretending to listen, anyway...) to me prattle on about various subtleties of various slipjoints. In any case, congrats to you and your son, Primble!

@ Primble Wow, just wow my friend, GORGEOUS Schrade:thumbup:

Now let's go from one end of the spectrum to the other:D Quick back story (as quick as I can make it). I never was a Boy Scout---for no reason why my Mom can't offer up a reason why as BOTH my older Brother were:o I loved the gear they both owned as Cub and Boy Scouts.

I PINED for their Boy Scout Knives badly. My oldest brother Jeff owned one just like in my picture, my second oldest brother Tad (yep like Abe's son) had the bone handled version. So when I found this one recently I grabbed it.

The ONLY trade off that I can remember about not being a Cub or Boy Scout was when my brothers left the house on Saturday night, was that I was able to watch "The Wild Wild West":D

No fit and finish went into this knife at all, but it honestly is still to this day a very SOLID knife:) Threw this one in my back pocket sheath today:thumbup:

:D  When I was a kid in the early 60's, some of the cafes had what they called 'Canadian Lake Scene' wallpaper, that pic kinda reminds me of that! ;)

I have a pile of knives over here (16) but one of them isn't a traditional. I haven't decided which one I'm going to carry, but I have picked up and used this old Boker 494...

... so, it may get to ride my pocket today.

I have my pockets full today! Toting all my recent traditionals for a group shot to celebrate the new arrival, a TC Barlow! Today's background is a 1917 textbook entitled "Elementary Mechanical Drawing"

I also just got an email from my uncle that I have a few knives that he got from my grandmother in the mail on the way to me. One is a Barlow! I'm not sure about the other.

Awesome knives all around the last few days guys.

My Charlow:

And an awesome old Queen Barlow my dad gave me recently. This thing was clearly made to be used and used how it was intended, and I think it's really cool. I'm gonna oil it and put edges on today:

That I am, but I'm afraid the fund is not pretty well depleted. Something is going to have to go before I add anything else. Now the hard part is deciding what!
