What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Careful - it is reported to be very contagious - that Barlow fever. I have had it for a while now and can't seem to rid myself of it.

I have also learned that viewing pictures of them is not the cure. :D:D

I've been prescribed a remedy by my local Shaman

I'm leaving work early today to head to my hunting cabin for the weekend so I decided to throw this Case mini-trapper in my pocket today.

Well - that is a very good medicine for the cure - a beauty of an old KK there.:thumbup::thumbup::)

I am sorry to have to tell you though, it is only a temporary fix for people like us, my friend. :o

:D

Very nice beginning of the snow season with knife picture Brian.;)

While I have had the opportunity to view many beautiful pictures in this forum, this one just stands out from the rest. Perfectly capturing not only an object but an event and emotion simultaneously. Just wow....

Treasure the knife and the memories.

Thanks very much for the kind words.

I am still on my TL-29 modding horse. I have a small pile of them at this point, and it is really teaching me a lot of knife building skills.

Here is my latest mod. I took out the screwdriver blade, and ground the blade tang so the liner lock would work with the spear blade. I got a hold of some snakewood and made some new scales for the knife. Once it was all together, I decided to partially serrate the blade. It has turned into a super nice knife. The snakewood polishes up like glass and is super hard, but cracks easily. There are some cracks at the pins, which I have hidden, but it taught me to be more careful with super hard woods.

In my watch pocket today - can't seem to shake my Barlow fever. Additionally - my old Primble Barlow is in my other pocket.:
