Interesting that you noticed that, Eric. My stainless elk stag #48 has the most perfectly wonderful W&T of any knife I own. Snappy/springy describes it well.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/
It is a '70 model sodbuster it belonged to my grandfather. My earliest memory of him was him using this knife. It was the only thing I wanted when he passed a couple of years ago. I always find it befitting every year round this time to use the knife for sausage and cheese, because it was a tradition he started long before I was born.singin50 singin50 is offline

Great tradition and great Soddy!
That is a beauty Jeff  Great shot of it as well.
Jeff, yah I really think it's just something about that design that makes the springs work for you and not against you.
BTW, beautiful cover on that one!
@ Jeff, I think that's the nicest #48 I've ever seen:thumbup:

Thanks, Paul, and that's a beauty of a cattle knife. I dig the long pull spey blade.
Astoundingly beautiful, Paul! You have quite the treasure chest:thumbup:
Beautiful B&M handles and I'm pretty sure it was made by Schrade Cut.
